I just came back from vacation with a group of friends and what I see is how good of 14 camera work in the low light setting compared to 13 and 11. The new action camera also really great. I think the new picture processing is A LOT better.

I love my 14 Pro Max so far, I've had no problems at all, and I'm very grateful for this. I think as Apple sends updates, things will get much better.

I tend to think that the lack of huge upgrades over each iteration is a good thing, as it means that any phone I would buy will last for a few years without missing anything really important. I’m happy with my decision to upgrade from my 12PM to 14PM for the following reasons: refresh rate, the screen brightness, the camera especially the macro which I was dying for to have in a phone(!) and AOD! I like the dynamic island but it does not matter much to me.

A great point - most people are not jumping from 13 pro to 14 pro. That’s something almost all the reviews miss.

My favorite upgrades with the iPhone 14 Pro: 1. Improved thermal dissipation system 2. Reduced bezels and the new front design in general looking hyper modern 3. 2000 nit sustained (I don't mean sustained in the "it doesn't dim the display when it gets hot" sense, it obviously still does, but in the "it's not '2000 nits only in a 10% window" sense, it will actually hit 2000 nits on the entire screen) outdoor brightness 4. Car crash detection and emergency SOS via satellite (if I was more responsible I would actually put this one in the 1st place, but me being a nerd I'll put the improved thermal system in the 1st place instead).

I love my 14 pro. Upgraded from my 11 pro so it is worth it!

I had the 14 Pro Max but decided to return it and stick with my 13 Pro Max for a few reasons. The Dynamic Island was really not that special to me. I guess mainly because it is just too small to see very well. (I'm 51 now and my eyesight isn't that great anymore.) All the stuff that it does would be better done much bigger on the screen like before, so we could actually see it and it would be useful. The always on display turned out to be too bright where I would continually think that I needed to hit the sleep/wake button. Also the widgets need more options. If I would have kept the phone I think I would have turned this feature off. On the plus side, the speakers were even better than the 13 Pro Max. Ultimately, it wasn't as good of an improvement to warrant the upgrade over my 13 Pro Max. If you have a 12 Pro Max or earlier, then yes, it is worth the upgrade, though.

Good common sense review. I miss the days when new task features made every new phone release amazing. We have come to a point where a slight tweak here & there are, as you said, overhyped. I went from 12 ProMax to 14 ProMax. The island is ok, but when viewing videos or other media, it now sticks out like a sore thumb. Always on ate about 10% more battery, & basically repeated info from my always on Apple Watch, so I turned it off. Best wishes on your health recovery!

The Dynamic Island is nice it’s just so different atleast it’s functional although the notch wasn’t horrible it was just there this phone has been mostly mixed reviews but in my experience it’s been great

As someone who travels internationally, I can’t get down with removing the physical sim tray. Getting cheap service that may not offer a ton of options or a smooth connection is a huge deal for me.

Loving the pro max great phone better than I expected

Going from the 11 to the 14 pro has been wild with the upgrades. I think the best is the cameras and outside viewing. The island is cool, too. I feel like the pro is a better choice than the max, which I had wanted. It's far more pocketable for on the go with still great battery life.

I can't get over how thick the iPhone's bezels are.

I don’t mind always on display what I don’t mind is the battery drain in its present form, because over the whole iOS at the moment battery life on the 14 pro isn’t very good so little things coming together result in you constantly trying to manage battery through the day.

The best review of the year. Honest and never bite your tongue. If you are coming from a 11 or 12 Pro yes worth the ungraded. If you cominf from regular 11 and under and want to try the 14 Pro for the first time , yes. I will keep praying for you and keep your spirits up my friend.🙏🏾🙏🙏🙏✌🏿♥️♥️

On point and thought stimulating as always. I’m very glad to see Jonathan feeling better. Just as with the Air Pods Pro 2 video, this made me view the product in a new light. For me, the camera upgrade alone was sufficient to make me switch from my trusty iPad 11 Pro Max, which has served me very well. I agree the Pro is a much more convenient size, but I like the additional screen real estate and larger battery. By the way, I also just flip my phone face down when I don’t want it to distract me. Again, great review. “Tim Apple” should take notice, and probably has.
