Yeah...probably thousands. One too many. I could do them blindfolded. I dont suggest to anyone doing anything while anything that gives out power is plugged in. Always make sure batt and charger are unplugged and nothing running. Dont follow my example on this while working on these laptops (if i did it in the vids that is :)

Loose cable...I've heard that so many times from customers that wish it was that so they don't spend the money. It's never the cable. Replace the keyboard.

As long as the clips that are holding the keys are good they are compatible. But if the key you are replacing doesn't work when pressed, just popping a key from another keyboard and putting it there won't fix that

I'm Italian and I have a French keyboard on my MBP Retina mid 2015. So I bought a product like this (in italian layout) to remove the physical black keys and put them on my macbook (my macbook keyboard works fine, backlights, keys holders etc). Do you think I can do this?

if its the same keys, it was probably never the keyboard. possibly a spill on the motherboard that is causing this. there is a circuit controlling this. if different keys are not working, it can still be the board, or it can be the new keyboard that is bad. also make sure that the KB cable is all the way in, that it has no scratches, and that little latch is pressed down and holding the KB flex cable tight in there.

Milan Stojic Hey, so now the macbook boots up, I've removed the backlight because it was just way too dirty, the computer boots up, but no it gives me black screen, I've already checked the screen flat cable but it's all right, what could it be ? @@milanstojic3295 oh sorry I meant the connector cable. The thing is that I tried to force it in with the lid closed, and my trackpad cable is partly ripped as well. So my keyboard and trackpad doesn't work(except the power button).

If you have an issue with the keyboard, such as non responsive keys or power button not working (it's on the keyboard as well) it is most likely the keyboard but to test it you really need to plug one in and try. If you don't have one you can order one online for 30-40. Some 15" models have an issue with the keyboard when trackpad is not plugged in or not functional. This will cause the whole keyboard not to work, only power button will. If you are not sure how to do this have someone do a professional estimate on it. Most shops don't charge for estimates.

Hi Matheus. Static (the enemy of all electronic devices, while being worked on, as they call it) is always good to get rid off, or if you want to do it by the book use the anti-static strap. I personally never did, and in more than 10 of fixing computers, after probably more than 10 000 of repaired laptops/desktops/servers, and a few thousand phones/tablets/mp3 players, never have I once seen static damage, or kill any single electronic device. I have felt static many times just by walking around the house and turning on my lights, but have never felt a single jolt while fixing a computer. I personally don`t believe in the need for this, but i do suggest working on anything without the battery or charger attached. That is live electricity that will kill anything if you short it. As far as donation, i kept my channel free of YT adds, had only my own links for repairs in case people wanted me to fix their stuff, and never asked for donations. I dont repair computers any more, i moved on to IT work fully, and don`t record any. I am happy if any of the vids i made help anyone save a few bucks, and learn something new.

Just highest percentage rubbing alcohol that u can find. Make sure its completely dry before u plug it back in.

Ne uploadujem vise nista jer ne radim kao serviser. Presao sam u IT. Ako hoces da zamenis TP otvori dno laptopa, odsafi 3 safa na bateriji (trostruki philips safciger), i TP ti je tu. Ima cini mi se 6 malih safova, veoma lako da se izvadi. Vodi racuna o kablu da ne pocepas. ako otkacis kabal sa ploce, malo je zeznuto staviti ga nazad bez vadjenja ploce, ali nije problem ako imas strpljenja i tanak alat.

Magellan If you killed it than you haven't done everything as it was done in the video otherwise it would have worked. I am not sure what you did to it, but first thing I would check is the keyboard itself, connection to the board, and if everything is plugged in properly. Power button is a part of the keyboard as well and it can be bad also. If you think you damaged something you should ask for some professional help from a local repair store or something like that
