Having issues. My replacemnt membranes dont' seem to snap into place at all. As soon I apply the key cap, the entire thing comes off. I did notice when remove the old membrane that there is an adhesive. The new ones don't seem to have that.

the second i put the key cap down it needs to be pressed hard just for it to be recognized. It works just fine right before i set the plastic cap down and the hinges are placed in right too. Not sure why that is. Do you have any solutions?

The membrane seems to be getting in the way. Can I remove this?

The new hinge broke as soon as I put the new key on as shown in the video. Now the key barely works when I push it. Regretting my $60AUD fix

Is the butterfly clip in the video being installed opposite then how they took it off?

What kind of adhesive does apple use? Once you pry up the little cup (Centerpiece) and reinstall it. It doesn't stay firmly in place. I have an R key that I replaced that continues to do this.

Just FYI I had to replace the whole bottom case . I ordered one for cheap on eBay .

my center piece will not snap into the mounting holes for the normal keys

Same issue I have, and my old ones seem to have an adhesive not present on the new ones. Did you find an answer?

I "dont know it all" and dont be negative/defensive please at my comment. First of all great awesome video, really detailed but the butterfly hinge cut out must be ontop, and secondly the top also has a bevled side and should be beveled down. So 2 steps to make sure you put the butterly down correctly.
