One thing I have noticed is. If you charge your phone to like 90% and slap this on at the beginning of the day. You get like 6-7+ hours of use before the MagSafe battery actually dies. Leaving you with 90% on the phone itself.

The MagSafe Battery by default will only charge to 90%. You can change this by going into the settings and clicking the button that will allow charging past 90% The default setting will prolong the life of the battery, because charging < 100% will not count as a lithium ion battery cycle. One more reason maybe this product is worth its price, because I really don't need to buy a new phone every year. Thanks Bobby for coming back and clarifying a few things from your first video.

I have experienced a non-Apple portable wireless battery pack causing my iphone to overheat within minutes of using. I immediately returned the non-Apple charger to Amazon and invested in the Apple battery pack. I can confirm and agree with everything you said in this video. Thanks for taking the time to share. I love the portability size and lightweight-ness of the Apple battery pack. Although it's not high powered, it's absolutely convenient. Anyone needing more power than what it offers, should really carry an actual wired charger 😉

Here's one more bit of information I can share about power electronics. As you said here, Apple's MagSafe Battery operating voltage is ~7.62V or approximately double the typical ~3.6-3.8V of the 3rd party chargers. By doubling the voltage, you can increase the power output but leave the current(Amps) the same. The heat comes from the flow of current. So Apple most likely doubled the voltage for that reason, and it's why the MagSafe Battery Pack doesn't get as warm. Another benefit of lower temperature is that you can use a smaller form factor and thinner wires. Small size keeps weight and costs down. However, I think for $99, we know Apple is keeping any savings for itself!

I put mine on in the morning when I leave for work and it helps me have battery all day while at work without needing to put my phone on the wall charger

I bought it at the $99 price point because they always know their sh*t on the best capability for my needs as a iphone user 📲

In control center, when the MagSafe Battery Pack is attached, long press the "Low Power Mode" icon and you'll see an option to charge over 90%.

Still not worth $100. If you own a mini, I can understand the purchase but if you own a pro or pro max, it’s not worth it in my opinion. Battery packs are suppose to charge you’re phone, not piss you off for $100 price tag. I love apple but I prefer value first.
