Apple Music with Djay Pro! Will Apple mess up your music files?

Algoriddim DJay Pro now has Apple Music support! This brings up some questions about how iTunes works and whether iTunes Match will swap out your music files. Here is my take on the matter.

Apple Music has “over 100 Million” songs, whereas Spotify has “over 80 Million”. It’s why I switched along with the audio quality. I say Apple Music takes a huge W on this. I now have a reliable backup source when I DJ events.

Logic I’m trying to give djay pro a shot but I can’t even get my Rane 70 or my mk2 controller to work the software recognizes my devices as MIDI but when I load tracks using the mixer or using the load knob on the mk2; they load in the decks but don’t 8:46 8:47 play. Also the Transport mode on the 70 doesn’t work in djay pro; Any advice my brother any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏿👊🏿

They are a number of things you can’t do to the Apple Music file- stem doesn’t work & you can’t mass analyze the music files if it not already analyze.

Are Stems available on djay pro? Also if I use Apple Music with my dj software whether it be serato or djay pro are stems available. Thank you Logic; you da bomb my brother 🙏🏿

Yes, Stems are available on DJay Pro and some people including myself say they sound better than the competition. You can't use Stems with Apple Music or Tidal though. So far only DJay Pro has Apple Music available.

I know you’re busy and we’re all working or headed to work but I have gained so much understanding and insight from your channel. You’ve also inspired and challenged me to dive deeper into the software aspect of djing I’ve stayed in the neutral zone for years but djing is changing so rapidly that I’ve had to research, educate myself and apply myself to what’s going in the dj community…. I don’t think you could use stems in Apple Music because of copyright issues. I tried it, that’s what it says..

Yeah, there’s no STEMS with Apple Music but that’s why keep my music on my iPad as well. I won’t be using Apple Music as my main music source.

@@logisticalstyles so I was just fooling around, and I subscribe to the djay pro subscription, and I was able to use neural mix with Beatport, and my local music that I purchased from iTunes, but it does not work with streaming Apple Music. I’m assuming they’ll probably have to change that pretty soon, since it works with other platforms?

@@BigCountrySo-CaL619I haven’t tried them yet. So far only Tidal, Apple Music and SoundCloud. SoundCloud hasn’t been much use for me.

So disappointing. DJAY is a great DJ software. And the biggest promoted feature is the STEMS. They even improved on the sound quality of isolated STEMS. TIDAL worked great until it didn’t work with STEMS. Was excited to see Apple Music was brought in, but not being able to use STEMS makes me want to cancel both Apple Music and my DJAY subscription.

You can’t use the music from apple unless it’s purchased 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢. Tidal is the best option. Spotify was everything when it worked with Djay. Greedy cooperations

DJay Pro allows you to use the Apple Music streaming service. They added this feature a couple of months ago when they introduced the addition of Apple Vision Pro. I actually cancelled my Tidal subscription because I have been an Apple music user for a long time. The only issue is that you can't use Neural mix with Apple Music.
