I love those little grey shrooms, they are the first to come up here in Mo. The most I ever found was in early March and picked over 150 of them. I like to put mine in egg wash, flour them and drop them in my fry Daddy...........soooooo Good!! Haven't been able to get out yet cause my 4 wheeler is in the shop getting worked on, but soon I hope.

What USDA zone are you in? I'm in 5a and b, right on the cusp. I notice the violets were in bloom when you were picking. Around here they're full on usually around Mother's Day so maybe it's just a little warmer where you are. I also know when the lilacs are in bloom is a good indicator, as well as nighttime temps being consistently 48-50F. Can't wait, I'm chompin' at the bit. Nice video!

Seriously.. What's wrong with you people? How many mushrooms can you eat? Take what is a reasonble amount and let everyone have some. It's this mentality that causes problems both to people and nature itself. The sun shines for everyone not just us. Personally I take what I can eat and ok some to dry BUT not everything I come across. I don't mean to piss you off, all I'm saying is take a minute to think about what I'm saying. Take care and happy foraging.
