My Apple Pencil doesn’t work and it doesn’t show me if it’s charging and it doesn’t let me connect and I don’t know what to do

My apple pencil is still charging and it still connects to the iPad. However, although it is charged and connected,. It still doesn't work. I also tried to tighten the tip and it didnt work either. What should I do? Do you think it is a problem with the apple pencil itself or just with the apple pen tip? I've been using mine for just 5 weeks.

I FIXED IT! YOU HAVE TO REBOOT YOUR IPAD WITH THE APPLE PENCIL ON TOP OF IT UNTIL IT CONNECTS AND STARTS CHARGING!!

Hi Kidd Is Weird, Are you using a hard case? Try removing it, then place exactly on the smart connector, it should fix the issue. and if it doesn't and you have done everything, If Possible try connecting the pencil to another iPad or another pencil to your iPad, if Pencil Does not work, it is a hardware problem. So you need to take it to Apple Care.

Hi Maha Zaki, First make sure, you are not using any cover on the Apple Pencil and also if you are using a hardcover on iPad, remove it. Then make sure you are placing the exact center of the Pencil on charging point. It should fix the issue.

I fixed it! Apparently IbisPaint doesnt allow pen pressure so i had to fix it in the settings!

Hey AppleTricks . Yes i do use a hard case bit it’s the one with a slot for pencil and it does connect well. It charges and pairs well. But wouldn’t respond touches. However, after trying everything I could find on the internet, I kind of loosened my tip and tightened it little by little and tried after every turn of tightening, and almost towards the end it started responding. I had probably over tightened (if that’s even possible idk) it after seeing solutions on apple community. So it now works fine hehe. 😁😁❤️

Hi Denise van Leeuwen, If you are using a Hardcase, some times it can cause a problem, also check if the tip of the pencil is tight or not. And if possible, try using a different pencil with your iPad or use the pencil with another iPad to check if any of them has a hardware problem or not.

Same here. Replaced tip onto another iPad pencil. That pencil works fine. Mine doesn’t work even with a new tip, 100 percent charge and Bluetooth connection. Tried resetting iPad, tried forgetting, and tip replacement. Nothing.

@@AppleTricksOfficial figured it out. The pencil tip had an imperfection. I recently dropped the pen and I guess the tip got fractured. Changed the tip and it working again. The tip was not loose though, so it has hard to spot the issue. Thanks!
