Im trying to actually edit the body of text using the pen, but like the video shows you draw over the top. I was told GoodNotes would let you but it’s the same, the pen draws on a surface above the actually text body. Can anyone tell me if there’s a text editor that supports the Pen for actual editing, I want to scribble out words, delete words etc. If Apple doesn’t do this would the surface allow pen editing? Thanks for any answers

After doing edits with the pencil in Word, can you email back to someone to look at on a computer? Are they able to delete markings? Or can that only be done on an iPad? This would be amazing for proofreading/edits but need to be able to send back to authors and have them delete markings if need be.

+daizygrl33 The markings with the Pencil are considered markups made under the "review" tab in Word. Just like notes and tracked changes. They can be turned off and on. I've used it to edit quite a few documents this way. Works well.

can you also delete individual mark ups, or just all at once (or toggle the view of all on and off)? I use the review function quite often and wonder if i can handle the mark ups like normal comments and edits. I would like someone else review my mark ups, so he can work himself through the text and delete one oafter the other pen markup

how do you change that eraser tool? I have ipad pro and pencil and I don't see to get those options...

+David Feig I can only seem to get it to work in Excel and PowerPoint. Not in Word for some reason. All I have to do is tap the eraser tool.

does this come with microsoft office already installed once you bought the ipad or you have to buy microsoft office? isnt the microsoft office program free on the ipad?

+Regine Gomez Office is free on iOS for reading documents, but you need an Office 365 subscription to create and edit documents.

They have a free version and a paid version. If you have office you just need to add your Microsoft account.

Everyone should be aware, this is a mobile version of Office. The iPad is not capable of running the full version of Office.

Ok I was checking Microsoft word on iPad Pro and it won't let you create documents unless you activate your office 365 ....
