But that was just a beta. U can expect it to run smoother following the official launch.

@@Richtofen_-That’s what’s so crazy. They fit a full desktop chip into a tiny tablet that weighs less than a half of a kilo. The M2 is still crazy in an iPad as it’s not too far behind the M4 and is still a full Mac chip as well. What Apple is doing with these chips is unreal.

Open world is harder on the device than the abyss since you’re not rendering so much land. I’d say performance is better there.

@@m.a3914 You might want to see the presentation on last April's TSMC 2024 Technology Symposium. There is no doubt that Apple has some good engineers working on designing the chip (M series & A series) but, without proper node from, well, for example TSMC, M series would never achieve this scale of power efficiency. You should understand that efficiency is key in Apple's chip design. An AMD Ryzen 9 7950X would easily beat M3 MAX in pure CPU performance (both single and multi core). BUT, it would never match the power needed to run the M3 MAX. That's how they designed both chips in the first place. Nothing wrong. It's just in the eyes of average joe, these numbers and technology seems out of this world.

I used the iOS screen record. Apple improved screen record on iPads with iPadOS 17. It's even better with iOS 18

To be honest, it probably won't make any significant difference. I mean, mobile games, especially at the high-end, are made to run on high-end phones. The most powerful CPU on a phone currently is the A17 Pro. That chip has about half the performance of the M4. This M4 CPU is more comparable to the i7s and i9 13th gen. We are not talking about mobile device performance here. Thete is no mobile game that's made to utilize that much performance

You can play maxed 60 on the M4 in Abyss, but not 120 (not even close, it’s laggy af).

Yes there is, but the M2 is still plenty enough for a game like Genshin. For Genshin the M4 is only about 26% better in fps performance than the M2 chip.

@@IgorKornilov-kd3ol it’s doesn’t run at full resolution though nor close to max graphics and most of these aaa pc games do not hit 60fps on even the m4 iPad looking at gameplay available. Pc games are extremely more demanding and use way higher textures that is quite hard to run. The hardware in the m4 the gpu especially isn’t that powerful. Not to mention no fan. I doubt m4 could run any game at 60fps high/max settings at 1600p , the rog ally can’t. The m4 doesn’t have the power of a ps5 it has 4tflops.
