When it comes to presentation, no one could ever beat this guy
@daveb94028 жыл бұрын
No one could beat him in telling lies. Jobs was only choosing companies for comparison that still did not announce new hardware for 2001. Hardware like the Compaq Evo N160 was way better compared to the iBook, thinner and everything was a "yes" and still "yes" when there was everywhere a big "no' for the iBook at a way higher price. Reminds me when he announced the Pro Mouse as if it was the worlds first in 2000... first modern optical mouse was released in 1999 by Microsoft (IntelliMouse) and prototypes were even made in early 1980s.

Paniekzaaier tje I know the different between “invent” and innovate and there are multiple definitions of the word “innovate” and I do not consider “to make changes” by Merriam dictionary as one of the appropriate use of the word “innovate” in this case. By using that definition, then every company is innovative. I certainly don’t expect that Apple to be the first to invent a completely brand new product but I do not think that making a product slightly better, slightly different design “innovation”.

why is a 13 years old video recommended to me now ?? hello? youtube?
@aquilaregalin19374 жыл бұрын
@Tripper Hole I don't know if you are just the typical 9 years old brat, that tries to act cool on the internet, or you have some kind of mental problems, but just so we are clear; all people have brains. And it is because I HAVE A BRAIN that I know that the KZfaq algorithm should only recommend related stuff of what I watched till now (I never watched anything apple related). So I really don't understand what this 13 years old video is doing in my feed. Also do me a favor and do something positive with your life, insulting unknown people online only shows how sad your life actually is.
@stevengergi67814 жыл бұрын
Yeah tha is strange to me too. Why this video is recommended for people after 13years.. I guess apple did not have an updated product so they recomend this one in 2019
@Cabinamazatlan4 жыл бұрын
Cause ppl are looking at it, & KZfaq recognizes as good stuff to show you
@korowong224 жыл бұрын
KZfaq shows you stuff based on what you have searched up, not always based on whats new. If you've recently been looking up apple products or electronics in general for example this video would probably come up.

Steve Jobs in 2001: "Some manufacturers take out their optical drives. We think we need an optical drive in our notebooks." Apple 2020: Nah, the Ipad Pro doesn't need a headphone jack.
@falcon7594 жыл бұрын
But it doesn't need one because these days we have great-sounding Bluetooth headphones, and if you really want to use wired headphones with a portable device, then buy an adapter. I don't think that's very comparable to a 2001 notebook lacking an optical drive. First of all, I'm not sure, but external optical drives may not have been readily available or may have been very expensive, and secondly, they would surely not have been nearly as portable as modern ones and I'm not sure if they would have been BUS-powered, which means you would need to plug into external power. So basically, portable users without optical drives in 2001 would have to simply do without, whereas 2020 iPad Pro users can easily use Bluetooth or wired headphones if they so desire.

@@satyakambhampati8218 I will gently disagree : Best resolution ? no , you can search and find windows laptop with a 4K screen with more pixels than any MacBook retina. better colors in a consumer perspective? they are very good but they are not alone anymore check the 4k version of the dell xps 15.Yeah Dell counter Apple on that point but they have no shiny case though. thinner basels ? heck no ! Color accuracy for visual professional? This is not my field but what i know is it's color accurate have the only little issue to be a bit to bright and contrasted wich can be good or bad depending on your optinion the thing is Apple is in competition with itself by it's close system and what they are looking for now is more to attracked by service and small devices iPhone and Ipad than with their laptop line up.
