29 күн бұрынToday we will upgrade a second generation early 2009 replacing the old 500GB disk with a much larger 2tb disk. We've got three Macs in our house so backing things up is a must. Apple's Time Machine and Time Capsule make this super easy.

It's called an Apple Time Capsule - It functioned as a Wifi Router and access point as well as local back up for your Mac

I've seen on another channel where someone swapped a SSD into one of these and no big difference was achieved. Your average HDD writes 80-160MB a second, the gigabit ethernet port on the device is going to give you 110MB or so of throughput. Any sort of extra speed from a SSD wouldn't be worth it with the bottleneck being the physical port speed.
