Why can't this be an app on your existing phone? I mean, better hardware, no additional device, use existing data plan, easier software support, etc. Just sell the app or have a cheap subscription model in app.

Review: Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro After spending a few days with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro, here are my thoughts: Ultimate On-the-Go Display: This device is perfect for any Android app and streaming media. It’s truly the ultimate portable display solution. Seamless Connectivity: I’ve used it extensively with Anydesk, and thanks to Windows 11 Pro, I can use Android RDP to log directly into the console. It’s incredibly convenient. Screen Recording Limitation: The screen recording feature seems to be capped at 30 seconds, which might be a setting I haven’t discovered yet. However, this limitation doesn’t apply to 3D recording via the device. Specifications: Model: Xreal X4000, Android 14 Battery: 4300mAh Processor: 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz Cores: 8 Cores, 3 Threads Resolution: 1080 x 1140 pixels, 300 DPI (Per Eye) Impressions: Field of View: The field of view is impressive, though future models will need to improve in this area to compete with the likes of the Apple Vision Pro. Display Quality: The screens are exceptional, with vivid colours that stand out. Performance: The 8GB model performs well, though the 6GB model might not be as robust. Overall, for the price, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro offer a very impressive experience.

Thank you for this review, I actually been looking at this option and i have heard the first "beam" that came out was not so great, however after you showed the capabilities of beam pro, its a game changer, specially since you can use the android apps, i can totally see myself wanting to get one of this and experience for myself the refresh rate while connected to the beam pro, which is something im looking forward!

I love how XREAL has placed the lenses in the correct location on the Beam Pro. I’ve often thought Apple would do the same on the iPhone but it seems like they think their small block of lenses is too iconic of a look to change! I’d love to have this glasses/Beam Pro combo!

Nice video-thanks for taking the time to review these incredible Xreal products! This device gives us so many use cases. With the Android store available finally to the Xreal AR 2 Pro glasses, we literally now have millions of them with all of those apps. I’m looking forward to recording some of my sailing trips out on the ocean in 3d spatial. I also like the productivity option offered by Nebula where you can have two desktops side by side. That’s a big one for me. Being able to connect wirelessly to my Xbox at home is also a game changer. I wonder if we will start to see 3D games coming out soon that can be played while using the Xreal glasses and Beam II setup?

My question is, and I may have to ask XREAL about this, is seeing that this has stereo vision, will the XREAL glases themselves, be able to view the SBS stereo VR display from the Switch. For yes, the Swich has a VR mode. And both the Breath Of The Wild and Mario Odyssey have a VR mode. But you must use a form of google cardboard type VR display, using it's 720p display in split screen to work. And that is not good. If I can get full 1080p in SBS to work on the Switch, with the XREAL, that would be fantastic. Again, I may have to contact XREAL directly about this.

You can watch back spatial videos and panorama pictures on the Quest 3 can you use the beam with the Meta Quest 3???

It's cool how the phone is made to take videos for the glasses. A fun way to make content specifically for the glasses! Do they have a "youtube" type app to share and view other's videos?
