Best review so far by a mile. I think you’re right, we should be optimistic about technology and the positive ways it will improve all of our lives. We should not be afraid, we should be smart with how we use it. Great tech review but also you are so wise. Yours is the first review that made me actually consider getting it. What I'm really wondering is if owners like yourself will continue to use it on a regular basis after the first few weeks/months of novelty wear off. JD, you aced it again. You're real life aspect wins me every time. I'll never buy a vision pro. But that doesn't stop me wanting to know. My daughter is a doctor. She asked me years ago what kind of phone to get. I told her to think about how she lives her life. Then imagine a phone that fits in that life without needing a huge learning curve. No need to say what phone she got. I love your videos... thanks for sharing your stuff!

Great review! I’m not sure exactly how it works as I don’t have the unit yet, but there is a travel mode for when you are in a car, plane or any moving vehicle. It’s in the settings.

it would be fund if you could lock windows to your wrists and arm.. so when you are walking around you can carry them around them with you when walking and when you want to see them you could look at your wrist and arm to see the window/app (ie virtual magnifying glass, timers, or audiobook etc)

Really cool video! I follow tech reviewers and you are the first I see wearing in the real world! ps.: for car, train, flights etc there's a Travel Mode that will calibrate your Vision Pro for the movement of the vehicle youre in. Thank you for this video! very helpful!

The Apple support article says travel mode is only for airplanes. It also tells you not to look out the window because you can still lose tracking even with travel mode on. Curious if it works in a car at all with windows all around you.

This is a great video Jacklyn. How long can you wear it before you feel it is time to take a break? I think Vision pro is the most exciting that happened in consumer tech in recent years after several iterative updates on mobile phones. I haven't seen this level of excitement in the tech reviewers like yourself. If people like yourself are this pumped up on using this tech then I cant even imagine how general public would react to this when they experience it. Granted it is pricey but this is the look into the future and I think every one should get to experience it in the apple store even if we don't buy it

I'd mainly use for gaming, immersive exp, or videos. We already have enough electronic stimuli, dont need another gadget when Im outside. But Im excited to see what this evolves into for the future.

3:03 - You can actually connect to any Mac running Sonoma. The only difference is a non-Apple Silicon Mac is limited to 3K resolution for the virtual display instead of full 4K.

It looks a lot smaller than I expected. And the use cases actually seem compelling. Sadly out of my price range so I'll stick to my Quest 3. I can only play games but it'll hold me over until I can get a Vision.

Yes, it has an accessibility option for tracking just a single eye.

Cool video. But I really don't think this is a typical use case for this device. Being in a car or elevator isn't what most people would do with it. As a quest 3 user I'm interested to see how multi window support is, or how can multi task with say a web browser and a video playing in another window. All stand alone and not connected to a computer. Walking around in a crowd is definitely the last thing I'd want to do with one. :). On a plane is definitely another thing. Would possibly do that.

You’re on point about the easiness of that strap. I’m surprised to see some so called experts completely miss the point of that strap. It’s not something apple made just to stand out. It’s designed for ease of use. Apple wants people to use the product in a very easy and natural way.

Okay, reviewing vr headsets is a really tough job, and you did such a good job with it. I won't be able to buy these, because they're too expensive for me. And, I only recently got myself a laptop. So, really not a even close to buying these stuff. But, when I make enough money, by that time, there will be 4th or 5th generation of this or any other VR headset, and I'm optimistic about them. Let's see how the future holds up.

There’s a ps5 psvr2 game called puzzle 3d where you can really have an idea of how to work, position, move windows, analyze pictures and objects and see inside them, pull them from a line up and flick them back etc. that gives you a perfect sensation of what it would be like working with the Vision Pro using your hands as controller. Just to give ppl an idea.

Mac virtual desktop is not exclusive to silicon macs. It also works with Intel Macs as long as it’s running Mac OS Sonoma

It is interesting that this is my first time watching your video on KZfaq. New subscriber here. I think this will be a huge advantage to content creators and vloggers. Which is a problem for KZfaq because the biggest Channels will probably be creating content around the Vision Pro, while the KZfaq app is not natively available on Vision OS.
