10-16-19 - When I open the Calculator app on my new Series 5 watch it’s not the same app that you are showing! It’s just a calculator only! In none of the 3 screens (regular, scientific etc) does it show a calculator with a tip button. Can any one tell me what gives? I using an iPhone 7 Plus.

Phillip Tatum when you open the calculator app press and hold the screen. It allow will you to select percent or tip.

Julie H. Yes I have it was part of my contract with O2 handy so I don’t need to take phone out just use the watch. But when I had the seizure it automatically did what it’s supposed to do. Very very handy little gadget for myself and other epileptics. I’ve broken bones had seizures in past where I have physically jumped off platform and the bracelet I used to have was as about as much use as a chocolate teapot. But this is like a different level.

@@mattsmith7818 cheers mate, always been Apple my mum and dad bought me the original Macintosh when I was a kid. it’s a life saver this technology especially for people with neurological problems which cause blackouts etc, if you look at the elderly it would be a fantastic tool for them in case of falls etc so family can be alerted and 999/911 can be called to attention. Again would recommend to anyone with these sorts of problems. Got my upgrade next week so going for the next one, mines knackered from the falls now and insurance get bored of paying out and the watch protection cases are good but not strong enough to withstand a 11 stone bloke landing on concrete! Nothing can stop that!!

imaging falling off your bed and siri just calling the ambulance edit: i got a series 5 recently and it has detected a few false falls but it does give you time before it calls but something that i'm scared about now is shattering the screen while falling and not being able to turn it off

Nope. Apple will alert you that it detected a fall before calling an ambulance .And if you don’t respond that’s when apple will call an ambulance ;)

On the GPS only watches they will use your phone or wifi to make the emergency call, but if for some reason both of those are out of range you are SOL

After trying out the zoom feature on my watch current watch face it’s stuck there with “customize” underneath and now unable to scroll faces. I have used the crown to switch from enable to disable but stayed stuck. I had to turn the watch off then on to regain scrolling ability

Thanks for the video. I learned a lot I’ve had my iWatch for a year and am still bumbling around. I bought the watch specifically for the fall detection because I get dizzy spells and do fall. Even though I haven’t needed emergency services, it is a great option to have. Thanks again! 😊

AWESOME Video! A couple of valuable tips for me are: the Voice Memo; Pinging My iPhone and the Two-Fingers Time Check...I cannot wait to take it to the golf course... Otherwise, it's an excellent overview of what the Apple Watch can do. My Apple Watch sat in the shipping container for 5 days since delivery while I was wondering if this watch was a justifiable expense despite of the preliminary reasons for purchasing it. I have cracked open my Series-5, 5 days later... When I could see my Calendar and my Reminders lists on my wrist? I was then reminded why I wanted one... My CITIZEN Eco will get some love once in a while... But this is one AWESOME watch... The days of Dick Tracy are here!

VS nat if you take a call with an Iphone while AirPods are connected to it it will replace the music with the call till you hang up. If you are listening through the watch and take a call on the watch it will replace the music the same way. If you are listening on your watch and take a call on your phone as far as i know it will send the phone call straight to the AirPods so stop the music as expected.

The only question I’ve had about the series 5 is if the message notification in the green bubble changes to 1 if you receive a message while the watch is in 1hz mode on the home screen. (Not referring to the red dot) I’ve been searching everywhere and can’t find the answer. Anyone with the series 5, if you can test it and let me know please and thank you!!

Tosh- Nique just picked mine up this past weekend and im not sure what green bubble you are referring too. When in 1hz mode the only notification i get is the red dot. I can test for you if you can elaborate more as this is my first apple watch :)

We don’t tip in New Zealand either but if you are travelling and need the ‘Tip’ option press hard on the % button and then it changes to ‘Tip’ button.

If you have a password on your phone your watch should have one too. If your phone does not set one and that is your phone and watch password.
