Humans been doing that for ages now; they just raise their wrist to see the time on their watch when they thought about the time.

On my Fossil Gen 4, I just keep the screen on all the time, otherwise dealing with the sometimes delay (and sometimes not at all if it's already kinda lifted) when you lift it can get annoying. The battery lasts all day for me either way because I don't actively use it for anything else other than whatever text notifications come through.

yep, that's not the truth, at least for me - wear it since 1 week

Yeah, got it since day 1 and it was comparable to my Series 2, which means it still lasts about 1.5 days

It does appear to drain faster, but yesterday’s iOS 13.1.1 update did seem to improve the watch battery life slightly, possibly saving on power when the watch transfers info back and forth from the phone. With my Series 4, I’d finish the day at around 60-65% power remaining. Now on the Series 5, it’s closer to 45-55%. I was estimating about a 4% power drain per hour pre-13.1.1 and maybe 3% now. 13.1.1 hasn’t been out long enough to be conclusive about the savings, but a day or so more seems to show a slight difference. Make sure to uninstall all the apps you don’t need and to tune your notifications for stuff you don’t want to see. That all saves battery life.
