It’s definitely a small upgrade, but it’s huge for some people. I meet with clients a lot where it would be rude to check my phone or watch, but I still need to somewhat keep up with time and see what notifications I’m receiving. To this point I’ve avoided an Apple Watch because there was no option for that subtle check. This fixes it

I like the grid view. It makes accessing apps quicker than scrolling only up and down. With the list view you potentially have to do a lot of more scrolling.

Hint Of Sarcasm The reason it is customary to wear a watch on your non-dominant wrist is because it can interfere with writing. Also, obviously most of us use our dominant hand for more tasks, and therefore it puts the watch at higher risk of being damaged.

I just picked up my Series 5 a couple days ago after years of considering it and one of the first things I did was turn the always on display off. On my first full day of usage, I got through a full 14 hour day with 55% battery life remaining.

I still think one of the biggest problems with the Apple Watch is the metal pin on the strap used to wear the Apple Watch. Whenever I sit down on my table, it hits the table again and again. I would really prefer it to be hardened rubber or any other alternative for it. Other than that, the watch is amazing!

Nice intro graphics! I've had the original Apple Watch, then the Series 2 and I just upgraded to the Series 5 primarily for the cellular to use with Apple Music. The worst feature of the Apple Watch, in my opinion, was that it failed at telling time. As you point out, you have to do a fairly deliberate movement and even then it can take a second or two to come alive. That's too long for the kind of "glance" we're all used to. So after only 4 days with Series 5, I'm sold on the always on. I haven't noticed a big battery drain yet. This time I downgraded to aluminum from the stainless Series 2. Although I would have loved the Titanium version they upgrade these devices too often to justify a double-the-price premium for one year. Also, the heavy Stainless model was always slipping down to my hand. The aluminum is so light, it doesn't do that. And, happily Apple gave me $50 for the old watch, which was enough to pay the sales tax. So far I'm pleased. It's much more responsive and smooth than the Series 2. I'm looking forward to paring it with the new AirPods Pros.

to be fair, lets say the galaxy watch, which I had before my series 4, the galaxy watch easily got a day with always on enabled, ended with 50-40 battery. 20-30 is quite a bit even with always on

The Series 5 has a slightly larger battery to make up for the always on display, so it’s battery life is around the same as the Series 4

As if anyone cares, as long as 20 to 15 percent battery life remains by the end of the day after full brightness and good usage, no ones gonna mind unless they work 2 or more days straight in an environment where they can’t charge

Honestly, I have experienced a much less dramatic drop in battery life. Either way, it gets through he day easily and the difference it makes being always-on is huge.

Thanks to the Always On feature I was able to turn off the activation of the screen when I turn my wrist. I was wasting the battery when the screen activation function was active when I turned my wrist, because there were a lot of false activations during the day. This is not only a waste of battery, but also an annoyance, as sometimes it is not even appropriate in certain situations. I would never buy any smart watch without the Always On function, because I need a watch on my hand first and foremost, not a piece of gadget with a black square.

I like the “blob” or beehive home screen; I think it’s the most efficient way to sort out apps in a square format; apps often used are near the center and so on

My apple watch s5 got scraped against a persons BRICK mailbox and I recently took off the protector around the watch to discover that a quarter of the GLUE came off (yes, I did peel it off and there’s no problems. The scrape is just a minor on the top which is barley visible and you can feel it. When you feel the scrape it feels a lot worse)

That is probably the more realistic battery life, you wouldn’t stay hooked on to your damn WATCH, like you would to your phone, day to day use is not very intensive.

Hmmm, that’s funny I like the “blob app chooser interface” more than the list view. By far. The fact that I can see more apps at once, plus the fact that already have some muscle memory of where the most common ones are in my grid, makes it a lot more convenient than the list view.

@@Isaiahisnotonfire it’s good. Same as the 6 and I own both. Honestly I just got a replacement for it brand new from apple and the screen is brighter than the 6 at times. For always on display. However I would still get the 6 as it’s still offered new so u can get apple care

@@simonwilson7581 It's partially a functional reason. The crown is on the right side of most watches, so it makes it easier to adjust the time if the watch is on your left wrist.
