Watching this the midnight is portrayed more navy that it actually is in person. Of course it direct light it is navy blue but 90% of the time it’s nearly black. I’ve been loving it so far with the Hermes Noir watch band!

Initially ordered starlight online. When I went to the apple store to collect, I wanted to test the new leather strap to buy extra. He brought a midnight case to test the band with it, as soon as I saw it I changed my starlight order to the midnight case, it looks soooo much better in person than online go look for yourselves before buying.

100%. I was undecided but when I saw the midnight in person I had zero hesitation. Beautiful, the perfect balance between dark blue tones and black color. On the other hand I could not dislike the starlight more. For me the worst color ever made by apple, especially the solo band, looks nasty

This video was sooo helpful. I only came here for the colours, not a review, and this hits the spot. Always wanted a blue since Apple brought out the 6, but i still have my S4 space grey. I was getting tempted to update to the S7 but this video has shown the blue might be a bit too much, i like understated looks. I also use a muted blue band and your section on the Midnight with that strap has sold me on that colour. Also my other half wont notice ive just spent more money on an apple product lol.

I was keen on the star light but in person, I found the case looked plastic and the strap colour more yeasty than stone. But as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If it helps, the star light didn’t look all that in person. It looked plasticky. And the strap was the colour of yeast. I think the green is much better.

Thanks for this great review and the wrist size! It's been hard to get into an actual store to see these so YT videos have been great. I got the midnight blue 45mm and was having second thoughts and considering the Space Gray SE, but I really like how the midnight looked in your comparison. Also, appreciate the wrist size info. I was thinking to return for a 41mm but I just like how the larger one looks.

Exactly! One might think that midnight is more versatile but starlight can be used both as sports watch and just regular watch with silver chain band or brown leather band.

I went for the 41 mm starlight. 41 mm because I wanted to combine it with the Modern Buckle strap in saddle brown, and starlight because I think that one matches beautifully with the leather and with jewellery in general. ⭐️

I tried already midnight( too big visual) green (nice but went bit boring) and finally got starlight (fun, interesting, got character) . I’m a brown skin guy. So definitely starlight it’s a great match, is a very casual color so goes with most leather bands. For sport it’s harder but I use any dark bands to it. Glad not many people like the color so I will be unique when it comes to other users. My recommendation it’s tried to think what’s the purpose of ur apple watch before u get it and choose what’s ur normal colors in life “outfit”and also ur skin tone to make the best of the item. Mine is to have something fun but casual as accessory but also a smart device.

@@joha4574 it does, but it’s hard to fit with all your clothe styles Meaning for the office won’t be the perfect fit. For sport and outdoor activity will do. But it really good for most skin tones I think. Never tried on tho since red isn’t my fav color reminds me to blood and I get nervous when I see blood ha ha 🥺

Thank you dude. Ive been wanting to upgrade from a series 3 to the 7. But was lost on what to get. The red or midnight one. Id rather have Space Gray but apparently thats dead now. So it was a toss up between red and bluish black. Well with you showing me a red with the black band on it. Completely sold me. Red it is. Red and black is my favorite pairing, and yeah. I got a Red product on day one! Living dangerously! Love it...is there a iphone 11pro max case that matches the shade of Red from the Apple watch 7? I would like a case that matches the shade of Red...anyway. The watch is great. if I turned off always on at night I can get more battery life. Fast charge works really fast. I wish the battery was 3-4 days but I got tired of my fitbit...

Well i got the 45mm Midnight with Abyss Blue strap, but took them back. The screen just seemed too large, and the all dark case just made it look even bigger physically. Ive ended up with the 41mm green, which to me is closer to the Space grey. Not as slab like as the all dark midnight, but not really colourful. Still getting used to the smaller screen, but much happier with it.

I bought the blue S7 45mm first since the ad photos look great. It does look good in person too, but with the blue, rubbery sport band, it looks a little cheap to me. The band fits good and is comfortable, but the overall look on my wrist was somewhat disappointing. I don't think Amazon will take it back once the box is opened(unless there's a defect). So I wondered how can I salvage this situation. I found a good looking Camel tan colored leather band made to fit the apple watch on Amazon, and put it on. It even has the same buckle style as the apple watch sport band has. The tan color against the blue really complement each other. Makes it look like a totally different watch...much richer and classier. So, now it looks good enough to keep, and a good fashion option, like when wearing with a blue shirt for example. But, I think the combo I'm going to like best will be the midnight (black) S7 45 mm, with this same leather band. The black against the camel tan will be outstanding and go with anything. A classy, masculine look. This band looks so good to me, I believe it would improve the looks of most of those watch colors. I think the green would really benefit from that color combination. Those sport bands can be fun, mixing and matching the colors, but when you want to class it up sometimes, I suggest looking at the leather bands. The difference is surprising.

I have the same watch blue 45mm. At first, I was a bit skeptical, but honestly, it's the color you will not get bored of even after a year, and it will look fresh all the time. I'd advise you to get the Milanese blue strap, and it will look so great. It's an apple watch, not an analog one, so you can pick different colors to make it fun. Although leather straps look so premium with stainless steel silver and gold watches.

Just got my Series 7. Question: Can you go to Home Screen on the Watch without pushing the crown? I tried to just tell Siri, go to home screen, and it asks me to push the crown. I was just trying to figure out if I could just have the watch go to the home screen/watch face without touching it, like when my hands are dirty.

Couldn't they just make a real black version? I hate that blue midnight thing they introduced this year, and starlight is too bright, looks like a toy, not a real watch (as the silverish case color might suggest...). I would choose green because I really like the color, but it's not universal enough, too military...
