Today I will be comparing the Apple Watch SE 2 versus the Apple Watch Series 8. While in some comparisons there is one clear winner, that is not the case here. If you’re used to analog watch you should get s8. I had se2 for a couple of weeks and i returned it because you have to do some obvious gesture just to check the time. Its a small thing but makes a big difference decided to get s8.

I personally do not care for the always on display lol its not like I could look at the time at any other angle than flipping my wrist and checking the time like you would do a regular digital watch. Also, I would rather have the display off while not using as it is discreet. Ordered my SE 2 yesterday I cant wait to receive it.

@wizp0p I personally prefer the Apple Series 8 because it's literally like a wrist watch version of the 14 pro/pro max. The SE is good tho. But the Series 8 is my favorite for now.

The only reason why I didn’t get the SE is because it doesn’t have the AOD. I hope the 3rd generation SE has the AOD because that’s such a game changer for people who want… a watch. However I love my 8 and it’s one of the better purchases I’ve made.

Thanks to binge watching so many videos I bought the Series 8. I needed the 45mm screen for my aging eyes and since the battery life is poor I wanted fast charging.

They had a sale of the Series 8 in my local supermarket. Minus 15% off, so I bought that. I have the first SE which I bought in 2021 and its battery was down to 84%, so a nice upgrade. The 45 mm screen is nice too.

I upgraded to the SE 2 from having a 3rd gen myself. I had the 40mm and having the 44mm SE 2 makes a huge difference as i can read more of my notifications coming in

Just got my first iPhone since the 6 was released, so it’s been a while. Having owned the Galaxy Watch3 + 4, AOD is a useless battery waster. Not sure how it plays out with Apple Watches but the SE2 will be my choice. Thank you for this video

@tematotherescue Aside from the price and technical differences I actually prefer the SE/SE2 design in my day-to-day usage over Series 7/8 because those bigger displays are curved around the edges while SE's displays end right next to where the curves start, so the image isn't distorted. I wonder if anyone else feels this way.

3:14 1mm is a lot you know. i think that an extra 1mm is very noticable and boosts confidence.

Just out of curiosity, how does the “always on display” make the series 8 better? Not sure how you see the time if you don’t lift your wrist. Also, doesn’t that burn battery faster since it’s always on?

I’ve seen a lot of people saying this is the main reason they chose the 8, I’m not sure why. I’ve had the AW4 since it came out and haven’t once felt like the wrist action to turn the screen on is a nuisance, it works flawlessly every time. I’d rather my device isn’t using up energy for the screen when I’m not using it.

I briefly tried an Apple Watch when it was new (maybe 2nd gen not sure) and the display being off all the time unless you flipped your wrist or something drove me nuts.

1st time having a Apple Watch . Trying to decide between the SE 2 (would only be paying $15 a month ) or the Series 8 ( about $35) both cellular the only reason I'm not 100% for SE is no keyboard 😩 . But the Series 8 really caught my eye because of the always on display which was helpful for subtly tracking time when I'm on the go, and the added health features since I am very conscious of my fitness journey. Although I can't deny that the price for the SE 2 is great for the average or new apple watch user!

The series 8 charges faster because in the series 8 and ultra they give a fast charging cable and in the se2 they give a normal cable

@@MohitPandey012 It's very good! I'm very happy with it, almost 2.5 months down the line. I don't think the bezels bother me much and though they are bigger than Series 8, I don't think they're too much bigger. Also, I always like to keep a dark/black background to the watch face, so the bezels blend in and you don't notice them at all! Go for the Apple Watch! You'll not regret it! :)

It has a feature where the display is always on, which is useful for checking the time quickly when I'm busy, and it has extra health features that I like because I'm focused on being fit. However, I know that the SE 2 is a good option for people who are new to Apple Watches or want to spend less money.
