i love the looks of the alpine loop when it came out, but i could not get an original apple one because i ordered the smaller se. I went on amazon and got the same one as the one in the video. I have to say, they look and work super well, and i am so happy that someone makes a 40mm compatible alpine loop.

I think if you were wanting to have one of each style band, it would probably make sense to buy the watch with the Scuba strap since it has the custom movable spring loaded loop and special silicone formula. The other two styles appear to be much easier and cheaper to get the good looking replicas for it and the hardware on them are pretty standard with no moving parts.

not defending apple or anything as I do agree prices are outrageous for accessories and other stuff but my sister bought a first party Milanese loop when we got the Series 2. I decided I wanted more colors and bands to chose from so I decided to go the cheaper route... mines broke in around 2 or 3 months and the fits on the clips weren't that good either while her's still stands strong after years going through different watch series. at this point I think I spent the same amount replacing cheaper bands from different sellers. atm I am thinking on getting a first party this time around.

One issue I've had with replica bands in the past is with the adapters (lugs). Sometimes they are too tight to insert and remove. On rare occasions they don't lock in place either. What's been your experience with these?

Hi, thanks for the video! I have ordered Trail Loop and Alpine Loop replicas from China for like 3$ each. And, as you said, they are almost identical! (btw they were in the same packaging). But I noticed that rubber replica bands are usually far from the original in terms of quality.

I paid £0.57p from Temu and it gets more compliments than my genuine £100 trail loop does.

Thank you thank you thank you. Just bought an Ultra used and the guy tried to pass off the fake alpine loop as the real thing. Without having watching this video the day before I might have missed it. Was able to talk him down even more in price.

The apple bands are nice and better made but not $100 worth in my opinion. I have a sport loop I bought off amazon for $10 for my 45mm series 8 and its all black, compared to the one apple sells for $50 that isn't all black. The $10 one is nice and fits my wrists nicely and is comfortable and it fits very well on my watch. There are no gaps.

I’m curious who’s out there buying a $800.00 dollar watch then looks on Amazon for bands that needs to be re-glued after a couple of uses.

The $20 loops you are buying on Amazon cost $4 here in Thailand or on Alibaba. They come in lots more colors too. I have 7 Ocean Bands, 7 Alpine Loops and 4 Trail loops all for less than $75. The Apple bands are definitely better quality. But $96 more quality? Nope.

Nice review - thanks. Those would be a good backup option if you didn't want to get your Apple version dirty and scuffed up. Since mine came with a band, I'm going to buy one of these as a backup to wear when I get all sweaty and dirty.

I even get skin rash for a fake sport band years ago. Since then, I only use authentic. I think it is well worth it.

Does the Amazon ones have any effect on the compass. Some have magnets in the part where you attach that can cause issues with accurate readings. Apple even mentions this when you first use the watch for the first time.

It looks like all of the 'fake' Alpine bands on Amazon only come in 1 size, and from the description on some of them it appears to be the Medium size (145-190mm wrists). I wouldn't mind trying one out if sold it in a Large size.

Why do the fake ones wiggle

Unfortunately I had to return my amazon alpine bands because of the same flap which wasn’t stitched or glued properly. It wasn’t flat and dug into my skin. There are lots of them out there so maybe one of them might be better.

I picked up an fake Alpine loop in black and orange. , having the green apple strap already. The orange looked like hot garbage, but the black looks pretty good.

The glue came off my genuine apple one after about a month, Apple replaced it no issue

titanium is light nd strong. Fakes are ok for a while the ur watch falls off $800 down for being cheap

It should also be pointed out that the hardware on the Apple version is titanium. I’m sure that’s stainless steel on the knock off.

If you need to discount shop for the ultra band maybe you shouldnt have the ultra to begin with. I have this watch and absolutely will not put a cheap knock off band on it. In fact I have every color apple offers..... If this is an issue for you maybe shop in the cheaper section and buy a SE.

Look up third shift manufacturing, it’s when an OEM supplier will get payed to look the other way while a “third shift” comes into the factory in the middle of the night and uses the exact same equipment as the OEM does to make basically the same part for themselves..

Major flaw with the Alpine Loop Band, pull the band loose to pull your hand out and the metal clasp slaps into the case or the screen violently. Mess up your watch really quick. Feel free to watch my most recent video, I go into a little bit about that. And it's painful obvious Apple didn't think think one through to well.

I've ordered a band from china and I bet it's the same one they sell on Amazon. So even cheaper. Apple's quality will always be better no doubt about that, but you'll also always pay the apple tax, which doesn't really make sense for something as trivial as a watch band.

The alpine loop is ugly they only show the part that have waves on the frontal picture but when you really use it the truth is that only one part of the wrist will show the waves presentation, the other half of your wrist will show just a simple flat nylon color design that seems really ugly in compared to what you supposed to show

If you are the 95% of the people who will buy this watch, you will NEVER take it on mountain climbs, scuba diving, triathlons, etc. Because of this, these cheap knockoffs are probably something to consider. The people who do actually do the things I listed and far more, already know that you NEVER compromise on quality...no matter the price. My guess is the cheaper bands metal and synthetic components are very brittle and/or weak and could break under pressure and you could lose your entire watch if you are doing anything adventurous.
