lazy gizmo Thorax' design is too much in my opinion. He looks like a changeling version of Discord xD (The only difference is that Discord's design is good while Thorax' design isn't. But that's just my opinion)

00:30 It's a reference to "The Hobbit: To There And Back Again" ;) And there are indeed some parallels between this finale and Tolkien's books. The Changelings' Hive is like Sauron's tower, and our Suicide Squad is like the hobbits carrying the ring to Mordor. They have to go to the heart of darkness to save the world and their friends ;) 02:25 So you're saying you will grow some wings? :D 07:14 Actually, she did: two episodes ago :P 07:47 Yeah, rub it all over her face, Trixie ;J 07:56 Boop :) 08:44 Actually, she came from a different village :P 11:32 Well, not really :/ I mean, better this than nothing, but it's better still to _learn_ from one's mistakes instead of just pretending they never happened. She would never forget the name of a friend. I found it odd too (you can see me in the background) and I tried to warn Twilight, but the Changelings got me midway :/ (One of them pretended to be Lyra ;/ It was horrible :/ ) 14:44 Twilight would never brag about that. 14:47 It's funny that this advice sounds _very_ similar to her advice from the Season 5's finale :D In the finale, she advised Starlight that she doesn't have to grieve about the past because she can always find new friends. Nevertheless, it contradicts the other thing Twilight said in the finale: "Even when one friendship dies, the results can be disastrous" :P 15:56 At that moment, when I first watched it, I thought that it is going to be something about the dream world being pushed out of balance by some villain, by capturing Luna and making the dream world going bonkers. 48:30 It's quite interesting: the number *four* seems to be the leading theme of this finale. We've got the *four scarab devices* which the Changelings put on the Map table to communicate with Queen Chrysalis, and then *four* reformed side characters forming a Suicide Squad; the word "squad" comes from the same root as "quadrate" or "square" - a *four-sided* figure. And again, we can see a *square* of magical beams connecting the scarabs on the table! Not to mention the four Alicorn princesses being ponynapped (Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Twilight). Could this all be a coincidence? I don't think so :q (There are some more _minor_ references to the number four: four wheels in Trixie's waggon, Discord walking on four legs during his escape, four pieces of the vagina-shaped door, Discord's dancing flowers have 4 petals...). Hmm... Japanese consider the number 4 to cause bad luck, because in their language it is represented by the same word as "death" ("shi"). But I'm not sure if this is relevant here... 58:00 To me, it all really seemed like some kind of a curse, which could be lifted only when they learn to share their love instead of sucking it. They had to reverse the flow of love to lift the curse and become beautiful colorful creatures again. It's also a nice parallel to how governments work in Human World: they do what they can to convince people that they need government above them, and to make them depend on the government by giving them "free money" (except that in order to do that, they had to take that money from someone else first, because governments don't have their own money :P ). While in reality it is the government who needs us to prosper and even exist. Without our money, our work, our votes and our allowance, governments couldn't exist. Similarly, Chrysalis was convincing her subjects that they need her to survive, because only her can supply them with love they can feed on. So they were fighting for her and bringing her some love they could gather, like drones to the queen bee, and in return she was giving them some pigswill from her table to convince them that they get something out of it :P But once they realized (thanks to Starlight) that she cares more about herself than about them, and that they don't really need her, because they can share their love, they could finally free themselves. Think about that next time you'll be thinking about your government having any power you ;> 01:00:30 That's the whole point with Changelings: you _don't_ see when they invade ;> 01:06:05 That was my first thought after seeing her escape, too. I imagined her starting a new hive somewhere else and breeding a new army of Changelings, and then an epic battle between the bad Changelings and the good Changelings. But then I realized that it would be a very short battle, because the good Changelings could simply tell them the secret of love and convert them to good Changelings too :P The lie lives only until the moment someone tells the truth. Once the secret comes out, it cannot be kept secret anymore, no matter how hard one tries.

One thing I ended up forgetting to talk about in the commentary is Kevin. Was he involved, or is he another traitor that's still living in Ponyville or something? If he wasn't in the hive when this happened, did he not transform? Same goes for any other changelings that were not present in the hive when this happened, like the ones that replaced the Mane 6 and the others. So many questions, so few answers...

Um...no, Tabitha St. Germain does not voice Chrysalis. Chrysalis is voiced by Kathleen Barr, the same voice actor as Trixie. But yes, Tabitha does have a good evil laugh. She has a very dynamic voice. :D

Usually when a show does like the shapeshifter thing, characters end up with the idiot ball, but i gotta say i was impressed with how the gang handled it in this episode. Starlight checks Trixie, Thorax and Discord when they first appeared, they used a codeword(which they remembered to use) and Discord was smart enough to realize that that was not Fluttershy (i mean, it didn't help him but A+ for effort)

11thShadowDragon So you don't drink coffee and tea? Because they are drugs too :q Alcohol is as well, and cigarettes. The only difference is that those are "legal" drugs, because governments and big corporations benefit from it. Ayahuasca or efedra - also drugs, but Endian shamans drink it for religious purposes. Everything is for people, and everything can be bad for you when you overuse it, or use incorrectly, including water. Everything can be addictive, because addiction doesn't come from the drug itself - it comes from the organism which stops producing its own chemicals when you supply them from the outside in big amounts. I know people addicted from insulin: they need to take it more and more, because their organisms stopped producing their own when getting it from the outside. I know people from Netherland who smoke marijuana for years (it's legal in their country) and they are fine and no addiction developed, because they smoke pure marijuana they have grown themselves. Marijuana you can buy from illegal sources is usually addictive because they deliberately add amphetamine to it, to make it addictive. I also know people who use marijuana for medical purposes, to heal cancer or glaucoma. So I hope you see now that the subject of drugs is not so black-and-white as you probably thought.

technically their still changelings, Celestia said so, but instead of stealing love, they've now learned - as Thorax said he would do in the first episode we saw him - to SHARE love, this stops them from needing to steal it all the time so they don't have to trick the other creatures of equestria anymore. Personally I liked that the changelings went through this change (wink wink, nudge nudge), it shows that they really were being manipulated FROM BIRTH by Chrysaliss, who was the REAL evil one to begin with, I also like that she did not get reformed straight away, for two reasons, one it breaks the habit of reforming the actual villains in just a single episode, and two, it sets us up nicely for a season 7 which we know now will have the over-lining story ark of Chrysaliss trying to get revenge on starlight (much like what Starlight did to Twilight during season 5, yet more indication that we're moving away from Twilight as a main character and towards Starlight. Twilight is taking Celestia's role as mentor, and Starlight is the student)

Commander Critic they are NOT changeling .. they are not the creatures i became a fan of .. they are just bunch of new selling toys for little girl that cant found things that are different appealing as for the episode . you dont get it . The problem here is the show is telling you that being different is WRONG .. they are trying to teach you about tolerance and diversity with dubble thinking messages and morals. in the mindset of the show. Thorax Can not be Proud of being Changeling . being a changeling is BAD .. the only good changling is the changling that wants to be a a technicolor pony .. it all or nothing mentality so now they are taking away Everything that made the changelings different and unique.. everything that as different culture made them different and made them contrast the the ponies thats the problem here ..the morals of the SHOW are bad joke you want a show that actually teach you tolerance and diversity ...Transformers beast wars in that show you have 2 predacons joining side of the Maximals and they NEVER are forced to compromise their values and culture for the sake joining the side of the "good guys" THAT is actual Diversity and tolerance what this mlp is teaching you is conformity to the norms of another culture .. for the sake of making a new toyline and in the process they kick out of the MLP fandom anyone who was mainly a fan of the changelings for what they were they have successfully made the fandom less diverse

Philip kelton ok yes, I agree with your first line about the new toys, as for transformers, I never watched beast wars so I'll just take your word on that However, I do not agree that this change takes away what was unique about the Changelings, because what was unique about the Changelings was their ability to CHANGE into anypony. We haven't yet even seen what the changelings can do after going through their metamorphosis, and you're already judging them based on how they look? There's a word for that my friend, and I know you know what it is, but I won't stoop so low as to say it, as that would be putting unfair and preemptive judgement upon you, and I like to stand by the term "don't judge a book by its cover" which is what you have to do here, give the new changelings a chance, and don't just judge them based on how they look. But of course, this is your opinion, so if you really feel this way, then fine, that's your prerogative, but please accept that other people have opinions too and I for one like the change and look forward to seeing these new changelings in the future, morphing abilities and all.

Better be paranoid than dead ;q And the reason it was so obvious that Pinkie was a Changeling is because Pinkie knows everypony. She never forgets the names of her friends. But this Pinkie couldn't use Starlight's name, which was a clear indication that she doesn't recognize her and just pretending.

That's because the first set of claims aren't reviewed by people, it's robots. Like when my Zootopia reaction was taken down. But I appealed the strike, and because that relies on human interaction, the video is now back up forever. So I'd just appeal the strike and get the video back, although you have to wait for roughly 2 weeks.

Oh goodie. I wake up to alarm bells about copyright strikes. No, I didn't appeal anything, it hasn't gotten blocked. I released Top Bolt early as well, and Hasbro just monetized it, so I had no idea this one would be a problem. It doesn't make any sense either. I see at least a couple other reactions that have been up for several days, as well as the full length episodes themselves on KZfaq. Why are those not getting strikes too? Anyway, guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Hellooo it's me again and writing this comment while watching (like always), so prepare to read something as big as a house ^^ First, I'm pretty sure the tittle refers to There and Back Again (Bilbo Baggin's adventures) Part 1 : Derpy has straight eyes at 3:26 but I'm pretty sure it's on purpose. You know when cartoon charaters fall, their eyes mismatch and spin in every direction, well Derpy's eyes work otherwise ^^ I think the changelings taking ponyville was a bit rushed. I don't rally know for how long GlimGlam and Trixie was gone, but still, wow, they were super effective ! Okay, you were pretty scray when Thorax said the changelingss took Flurry Heart xD I loved when Discord got upset because of Flusttershy being kidnapped, (should we say ponynapped ? ^^) Yeah, pretty awsome team, you're right (Trixiiiiiiie !

I thought it was an okay ending to season 6. Thankfully, we have another full season next year along with three Equestria Girls specials. What I'm hoping for Season 7 is: 1) A Parent Appreciation Day special for Twilight's parents. 2) Another episode revolving around the background characters. 3) A Space adventure episode ala Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. etc. Speaking of Equestria Girls, damn the people who removed it.

What I want for season 7 A Celestia centered episode; Luna's my favorite Princess, but I would love a Celestia episode; maybe she could spend the day with Twilight or something if the writers didn't want an episode just focused on her? More Scootaloo episodes; either focused on her family (finally) or something else about Scootaloo. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon episodes; maybe along with the rest of the CMC? We've got nothing about Diamond Tiara since she was redeemed; except a few moments of her in the background. Some ponies/creatures coming back that we met this season, and maybe previous seasons? Not Cheese Sandwich since I don't really see him coming back, but other ponies maybe. More world building episodes via the map; and maybe not even just the map? An episode where Twilight and maybe the others babysit Flurry Heart? Or maybe Flurry Heart and the Cake babies? More character development for Starlight of course. Even though the CMC thought that their sisters, or Sister figure in Scootaloo's case figured that they wouldn't be allowed to go to different places because they were too young I would love episodes where they do go places, even if that means them going with another member of the mane six. So for instance Scootaloo could go say with Fluttershy, or Sweetie Belle could go with Rainbow or something like that; switch it up a bit. I doubt that this would happen but I would love it if Starlight could be called by the map as well. More Discord episodes; we only had two this season (although I suppose you could count three including both episodes of the finale, but I count the finale as one episode). More great Spike centered episodes! Spike was great in this season and I hope that we don't go back to terrible Spike episodes. A freaking episode where Zecora has lines! Seriously she was in like two episodes this season I think, and she didn't even have a speaking role! I figured that the writers would wait for the finale to give her speaking roles; since they did it last season, but nope! No speaking Zecora.

What I'm hoping for Season 7: 1. Celestia episode. 2. More Discord episodes (obviously) 4. An episode in which Celestia and Discord are leads. That'll be fun ;) 5. Return of Gilda, Gabby, or Thorax in a major role. 6. Spike's real parents. 7. The darkest season premiere/finale so far ;) 8. And lastly, a death (implied, offscreen, etc.) to REALLY up the ante, in said premiere/finale.

I definitely think the Changlings were corrupted Flutter Ponies but with more of an insectoid reimagining. Honestly, I really liked their new designs. To me it felt like the designs were inspired by Jewel Beetles & that made them seem more exotic to me.
