Two moons had passed since Rainbow Dash's funeral, and the mane six, now mane five, had difficulty coping. Winter had come early this year, as there was nopony to take care of the weather, and it was very harsh. The Apple family didn’t finish the harvest, and due to the snowfall Granny Smith and Applebloom had to take refuge in Rarity’s house. If there were to be a snowstorm, they would be completely cut off from the rest of the village, and there was a danger that they could freeze to death. At first, Applebloom was happy to have an everyday Sleepover with Sweetiebelle, but soon she got worried over Applejack, who was working hard to save as many apples as she possibly could. Scootaloo was also at Rarity’s home, as she hadn’t taken her Idol’s death lightly and had fallen into a deep state of depression, to the point that Rarity had to force-feed her to keep her alive. Applejack had insisted on saving as much of the harvest as possible, and originally Big Mac helped her, but then his head got hit by a branch and he had to go to the hospital, though it wasn’t anything serious. Refusing to give up, Applejack worked day and night on the farm. Her friends were obviously worried about her, but any offering of help, cake, or warm clothes was met with a stubborn shaking of the head or a “Nope, I’m doin’ just fine”. Then, Applejack disappeared. Applejack trotted through the alleys of apple-trees. From time to time she would stop to kick one of them, but did not bother to put the apples into a basket, instead just leaving them there. The whole time she was mumbling something to herself. “A buckin’ prank, that’s what it is. A-” ‘ugh’ “Buckin’- ” ‘ugh’ “Prank!” She scoffed. “Show your buckin’ face, Rainbow! A know you’re watchin’ me from up there!” She called into the sky. It was covered in heavy clouds, white snow falling from them and landing on Applejack’s face. She didn’t flinch. Tears started pooling in her eyes. As Applejack brushed them away she could feel the thin film of salty water freezing on her hoof. “Oh for Celestia’s sake!” She swore, moving along to another tree and kicking it with her full force. She could feel the young apple tree crack, and a shower of icy particles fell on her back. She shook them off. “It was just a random pony we found there. You didn’t crash. You’ve never crashed. That one just ‘appened to look like ya, didn’t it?” She laughed, but what came out was more of a sob as her eyes started to water again. This time she didn’t bother to brush off the cold streaks on her cheeks. She kicked the tree again. And again. With satisfaction she watched it collapse into a snow, propelling thousands of snowflakes back into the air. “WHA DO A FEEL LIKE THIS IS MY FAULT?!” She screamed, as if the tree was responsible. She sat down, not minding in the slightest that her behind was getting wet. “If I would’ve gotten to ya earlier, you would’ve landed safely, you wouldn’t’ve… Oh Rainbow. If I would’ve known wha’ could ‘appen, I wouldn’t’ve let ya. I wouldn’t’ve let ya out of my BUCKIN’ SIGHT!” She subbed. “I should’ve known.” She whimpered. She pulled herself up with what felt like the last of her strength. Her back legs were cold and her first few steps were shaky. “Gosh darn it, Rainbow! Ya didn’t need to be this commited! A mean- not carin’ for the clouds for two buckin’ moons, just to hold up the illusion you were-” She stopped herself and sighed. She bucked another tree. The impact sent a pleasant shiver down her legs. She wiped away the snot that had made its way out her nose - it was terribly cold here. Applejack wanted to believe that Rainbow did all this to fool her friends, to fool Applejack specifically. But… wouldn’t that also mean that she didn’t care in the slightest what happened to Ponyville, the Apple farm, everypony who lived here? Applejack shook her head. It would be fine. “Rainbow Dash- buck, I should really stop sayin’ your name, or I’m gonna start cryin’ ‘gain…” She chuckled, but it hurt. The pain wasn’t physical, but it felt like somepony had grabbed her heart and squeezed it way too tight. She looked up. A thin sliver of Sunlight cast from the clouds just before her. She sighed. that had to be another illusion, hallucination - but the sunlight felt too real in her fur, the light blinded her too naturally… She stood there in silence, the tears making little holes in the snow beneath her. Her breath created frosty mist in front of her lips. She shivered, just a bit. This trip wasn’t about saving the harvest. It had never been, though Applejack had done her absolute best to try to convince herself it was. She’d eaten barely anything since setting out, she simply didn't feel hungry. Her stomach was growling, sure, but the thought of food made her gag. The sunlight felt beautiful, the tiny flakes of snow glistening in the warm glow. Applejack smiled, though it felt like it would tear her heart apart. Just as quickly as it appeared, the light faded again, leaving Applejack staring up into the clouds, the snow cutting into her like tiny blades. A wind rose, and the snow started to intensify. Applejack blinked the cold dryness out of her eyes and started moving forward again. She didn’t bother bucking any more trees. She just wanted to find a bit of shelter. The apple-trees had lost most of their leaves, and, thinking about it, most apples had fallen to the ground as well, though some were still desperately clinging to the branches, hoping to get nutrients from their holder. The trees in the everfree were quite different in that regard. It was as dark as ever and though applejack couldn’t see it well through the rising storm, she knew that the snow wouldn’t reach beneath the dense crowns of those trees. She pressed on, the storm tearing at her fur, the wind stabbing tiny icicles into her skin. Then, she stopped. Looking up, she saw something that looked like the silhouette of a pony. It was barely visible through the clouds of tiny particles, but Applejack recognised her immediately. “Rainbow Dash?” She called out, her voice breaking. The pegasus came into sight. She was shielding her face with a wing and looked very worried. “AJ?” She asked, her voice as gruff as ever. Applejack rushed towards her friend, hugging her. She could feel the heat of the startled Rainbow seeping into her body, filling her with so much joy, happiness, relief… “I’m so glad you’re alright.” Applejack cried, not holding in the tears streaming down her face. “Yeah. I’m glad to see you too.” Rainbow switched into a more serious tone. “Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you. We had a meeting, remember?” “Yeah.” Applejack laughed. “But I thought you were the one who missed it.” Rainbow chuckled and padded her friends back. “We should schedule another one soon.” “Aren’t we havin’ one right now?” AJ asked. “I guess so. If you wanna call this meeting in a snowstorm one.” Rainbow laughed. Then, she let go of Applejack. The orange mare opened her eyes. She was standing on all fours in front of the Everfree, at the same place she had been moments before. Nopony was in sight. Applejack was completely alone. Despite this, she was still smiling. She slowly made her way through the snow, towards the everfree. There, her legs gave in and she collapsed onto the wet ground. “Let’s meet up, Rainbow.” She whispered raspily as she laid there, the cold running through her body, seeping into it. She smiled, and the last cloud of mist made its way out of her nostrils.

I love your art despite it triggering my OCD and learning at school of texture shading techniques I'm thinking about giving it a second try

Personally I' view them as both girlfriends but I'm ok with people viewing them as friends. I actually really enjoy reading your stories for some of these speedpaints. Do hope to see more from your channel (that's if youtube can properly notify me)

Switched version Its been 6 months since fluttershys funeral and the mane 6, now the mane 5, have trouble dealing with her death, her brother, zepher breeze, misses her the most. Being the only child now sucks, he was no longer the same. A harsh Winter had came early, And animals went angry and want to avenge fluttershys death. Pinkie pie went on a state of depression, she worked very hard as a baker, but when MS cake or Mr cake will offer cake she will say "I'm fine.". She walked through outside as snow pilled on. The cold is freezing the pink earth ponys nostrils. " pinkie... " Pinkie felt shocked, she did not know until the next word. "......pie" Pinkie teared up happily, it was fluttershy. Pinkies tears frozed as she ran to hug her late friend then said "I miss you fluttershy.". F:" I miss you too, see you soon! " P: " what about twilight? " F: "she knows everything, she could fix everything." The fluttershy disappeared. Pinkie realized shes dying, then her final words went out her mouth "I'm coming fluttershy." Then she stopped breating. Giggles as the pink goast hopped to hevan, growing wings and a halo, she said goodbye to her 4 remaining friends as she took flight.
