I’m going to start trying to do appliqué because I’m moving and my sewing machine will be packed up for a while. Just down loaded your pattern so I will be watching. I need all the help I can get. Great tips here. Especially regarding the pinking shears and sandpaper. I can certainly see the value of these. Washing fabrics before cutting is a core belief for me. Had not thought about the chemical issues but the dye bleed and shrinking potential of fabrics needs to be dealt with before cutting, at least for me. Now to run to the hardware store. Thanks so much!
