The young lady in the film is probably about age 65 now. I wonder where is she now and how did her life turn out.

This was almost 50 years ago, 70 at least. If she kept her sweet disposition she probably married well and had a couple of kids.

The last interviewer knew she was a good candidate and they probably needed someone asap. Sometimes with jobs.. it's about being in the right place at the right time.

Her skin, hair and face are beautiful and she has a nice frame nice lips too. Natural angelic woman there. Not like these plastic filled, loud, obnoxious, rude , ignorant, non ambitious braads of today created from feminism agenda

When nothing changes you know it not you. The incenti've is to beg and buy more skills. They skipped that part to give a Cinderella theme to a harsh reality.

nothing has changed... black girl "i think i'd like to do some office work, but I didn't take the business class" white girl, "neither did my sister, and she's been working in a office for three years." now that white lady in the second scene was really trying to help her get ahead, by dropping some knowledge on her.

HAHA!!! Times have changed for the better!!! No more favoritism, and stupid office jobs! The job interviews just 15-20 yrs ago were so pathetic, the employer had total control and they could do whatever they wanted, ask you stupid questions and personality tests, screw all that dumb stuff!! Can you type??? Yes, we got 5 year olds that can txt and type 300 words per second now a days! So glad I don't live in this time zone, so dumb, It pretty much held everyone back.

I applaud the black woman interviewer schooling her on proper interviewing techniques. You'd think the agencies would tell her that. Appearance in everything as the interviewer noted. She could not get a job today with her hair in that style.

What's wrong with her natural hairstyle? In my office I see gentiles with pink, green and purple hair and have no degree but work for a world renowned organization. In the words of my gentile bro in law JBW. Figure it out. Her hair was just fine and I would rather see that than the rainbow on someones head and piercings in the nose and eyebrows with tatted symbols on someone's neck in a professional building.

Marsum I had the misfortune of learning firsthand of lack of acceptance in the workplace. I happen to have natural hair and looking for a 2nd job. I received many interview but no offers. I suspected it was my hair that some can't get past so I tried an experiment. I received an interview, slapped on a wig and guess what????? I was offered a job on the spot. I declined because I didn't want to change who I am. I learned that some in business have a certain perception of how blacks present ourselves. I think my braids, although pulled off my face into a professional bun, was deemed threatening...just my opinion. I view my natural hair as a sigh of strength and some are threatened by that strength.

@@nola06 I wear my natural hair as well and was asked why I do so. My reply to the individual asking was why do you wear your hair grey and thinning showing how your scalp is pink and the knots I see past the thinning hair. I get it; we are not to be our natural selves regardless of how well kept we are. Pretending to emulate the so called Anglo standards of beauty just does not appeal at all to me.

one of the BIGGEST problems in getting hired today for many young people, black or white, is the lack of proper language skills. It was like, I was like, they were like, she was like... is terribly overused. Watch a live news report and ask an eye witness what he or she saw. I guarantee the word CRAZY will be part of the description. It was like....crazy. Mmmkay D'Uniqua, we'll be in touch.
