The lyrics talk about a young woman Neeli who wished to go to a festival in the neighborhood with Koran. She got ready in excitement, but on the way a feudal landlord saw and abducted her. The catchy refrain of the song says - ‘Did I not tell you that you shouldn’t have come along’- probably said by Koran reminding her about issues like these faced by economically/socially disadvantaged women during the feudal era.

It's basically about country song type theme. Kerala rural based song. It basically says about a lower caste hindu man lamenting and complaining 'I told you so' to his wife who was kidnapped and abused by their upperclass hindu feudal Lord, when they went to a festival in the village. The incident is made as a song rendition. But this one is remixed to modern rock flavour from the traditional song. See the context here is about the historical fact about lower caste women always getting sexually abused and killed by upper class men in the society back then in rural Kerala.

മലയാളിക്ക് മലയാളിയെ വിലയില്ല 🤷 1.4 M വ്യൂസ് ആകെ 167 കമെന്റുകൾ 10 പേര് എടുത്താൽ 8 പേരും ഈ പാട്ട് പാടിയിരുന്ന ഒരു സമയം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു .. ഗോവിന്ദ് ബ്രോ തമിഴിൽ പോയത് കുറച്ച് നേരത്തെ ആവാമായിരുന്നു

@@kunalshingne6706 Pretty sure he meant you'll enjoy in it more if you understood what the song is about having come as far as listening to it and enjoying it despite not knowing what it's about. That being said despite the tone, it's more despair than happiness
