BUSIEST DAY EVER! | ANTIQUE MALL | APPRAISALS | SHOP WITH KZfaqRS
KZfaqr meetups? Shop with us? Appraisal Fairs? Any one of these might make a fun video, but this one offers all these fun events in one jam-packed session!
Jocelyn of ‪@CrazyLampLady‬ and Dagny of ‪@FlyingPigThrifts‬ were asked by The Antique Marketplace of Lemoyne to hold a special meet-and-greet for KZfaq vintage fans, and they were so kind to ask me to come do appraisals too! What an amazing event, with 500+ people showing up to see us, have autographs and pictures taken, shop this huge antique mall and bring items for evaluation!
We take you with us, showing some of the highlights from the appraisal fair, then going shopping for treasures of our own. We meet so many wonderful people from a ten-state region, and see fascinating items ranging from artist-painted Noritake Nippon and a valuable Polia Pillon covered box to a fantastic Navajo claw necklace and a scarce bi-racial religious print! Drew of ‪@CrazyLampLady‬ shares his considerable expertise and enthusiasm too, especially when a Gettysburg Address dinnerware piece comes to the counter.
Then it's shopping time, and Jocelyn graciously helps show me as many of her favorite honey holes in this giant antique emporium as possible while the antique mall processes a record number of transactions! A regional stoneware maker I've never seen catches my eye, and we talk about everything from glass animals to Indonesian marionettes before it's time to check out and pay for our new finds. What an amazing day!
Here's a few of the things we get to enjoy during this one-of-a-kind event:
Pen-and-ink celebrity drawings, Tiffany salt dip, Chinese gold ring, Dynastic period scrolls, Meriden silver plate caddy, folk art wood box, Rick Wisecarver ship vase, 1910s scenic lamp, Bohemian glass lamp, musical instruments, Weller pottery, Imperial Glass gold block tumblers, Fenton bell, sterling salt spoon, Georgian Regency cabinet, male-carved cameo, Sandland Ware tray, Fenton cats, Brazil butterfly wing tray, newspaper stand, owl and raccoon table lamps, Hummel Ba-Bee ring, McCoy Rustic tea set, bait box, Italian fiore blanco water font, vinyl records, Wien Air Alaska certificate, football team photos, signed baseball poster, beaded grape medallion pattern glass, art deco sconces, tole painted wood box, Royal Doulton Autumn candlestick, Disney trash can, 1970s typewriter, Metlox Colorstax cream and sugar, Texaco Fire Chief toy helmet, 1970s pantsuit, cylinder disk player, art deco bookends, book slide, Bill Lynch Penns Creek Pottery, plumbing store display, 1960s movie posters, Gonder Pottery fan vase, etc.

Your videos and JE were fabulous! I was blown away by all the attendees. But, I shouldn't be. You guys "put yourselves out there". You shop , do shows, participate in your communities, and put out very entertaining and informative videos. You have a tremendous work ethic, are REAL, and are always nice and polite. JE has availed herself and her legal team just like a ferocious Mama bear when any of her friends are threatened by a thief of content. I'm glad Dagny participated as she represents another aspect of shopping and selling. She is a hoot and very endearing. As for Andrew, he represents a whole other dimension of knowledge. He represents both the Rev and Civil War with a tremendous amount of knowledge. As Americans, we don't know much about our history. And, George, you give all of us military brats a good name.

The Fenton handle signature is the signature of the person that applies the handle only! Each step in the production from blowing the glass to the mold to crimping to handle to hand painting is all done by a different person that specializes in that part of the process! Each piece of glass is handed off many multiple times. Luckily the handle makers were able to leave their mark as where others were not!

That is true! I do recall that they had different skills in the hot shop so the handle appliers had the advantage there

Just happy wonderful fantastic vibes. You are a wonderful guy,,,everyone so happy and excited to meet each other..that was great for Crazy Lamp Lady to put together,,,just a wonderful video. What the tribe should be like. Wow...I love that butterfly wing tray...one gal here who taught at university had a massive collection with another gal when legal and they made a flying design in a rainbow picture of them for the new theater...back in 2008 and went to a production with mom. Always everything in your vids and a huge lift...so neat she got a bunch of baby gifts...I have Patti's first line in my typing here and she just says it..,,,all the knowledge in the joy of it all and no pretense,,,thank YOU.

I live in nearby Maryland and with a reseller friend, drove over to Lemoyne in hopes of meeting Jocelyn to say HI. I have watched CLL videos for a couple of years now and am a fan. I hadn't even really discovered your vids yet, George. Unfortunately, by the time we got there, the line was so long, we needed to eat and wanted to have time to look around before it got so late, so I gave up. My friend Grace, who is a spry 95 year old lady, and yes, a dealer with a long-time booth where I've been for only a few months (Emporium Antiques of Old Town Gaithersburg) just sat up front at the tables and chatted with whomever, since she can't walk that much. And wouldn't you know, Grace told me that Jocelyn and maybe Dagny (?) (so nice too,) came up to the table where she was and was talking with one of the other people sitting there. I was off still looking around and so missed her again. Drats! 😣Oh well, another time! And now I'm really enjoying the heck out of your vids too! Thanks, George! #CrazyLampLady

Hi George! Wow, that appraisal fair was crazy loud! The male cameo was super-nice. I really liked that odd-shaped Nippon bowl, with the butterfly. There were a couple of what looked to be low pedestal tables, against the wall, in the booth with the sign with your name on it, that caught my attention. I liked the look of those. I think I would've had to have bought the 1930's wall sconces. Those were nice. I liked the doorknob escutcheon plates the aluminium alligator was setting on. That mall was really loaded with items, and there was a lot there that caught my eye. There were several of the spaces that could've easily taken an hour each to film. Thanks for the tour!!!

Hi! The 1930 wall sconces you looked at in the mall match exactly two sconces on my fireplace that came w my 1909 house!! I also have a matching ceiling fixture w three of the the same glass light covers around a central matching ornate metal fixture. I absolutely love them and always wondered if they were as old as the house or from a bit later. How exciting! 😊💞

@@TheAntiqueNomad oh! It's OK! All the women chattering in the background at the appraisal table drowned you out a little. I just can't dicepher sound like that. I did notice one other comment about it. But honestly, if I'm the only one it's not a big deal. It's just me. I promise! Love your videos.

George, may I ask your age? I grew up working for my parents since the mid 80's. We traveled, doing mall shows, flea markets (Antique World near where I was raised), Burton, and so much more. Yet YOU seem to have SO much more knowledge. HOW do you do it?
