Pramila Krishnamurthy, MA, FRCPath, MRCP, PhD, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses approaches to prevent relapse in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT). Dr Krishnamurthy explains that patients with a high risk of relapse may benefit from pre-emptive or prophylactic donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI). Dr Krishnamurthy further discusses studies evaluating agents such as azacitidine, magrolimab, eprenetapopt, and venetoclax in this patient group.
