The first metal bands they were given to them to learn were System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine. They were given by their teacher, who is a very progressive man who work in an Islamic junior high school. These bands changed their lives forever. They practiced in secret because their parents initially condemn girls for playing music, let alone heavy metal. Now after they performed regularly like 5 times a month, national coverage, and even international exposure, their parents can't forbid them anymore. Now that they have European tour this month, their village head announced it 'officially' to the whole village :D

This song is their latest one, is kinda polished, with melody and reggae part. If you look at "School Revolution", it's heavier, with dissonant rap but Sundanese influenced melody line.

Wow, thanx for reacting to a band from Indonesia. "Baceprot" is a Sundanese (local language of West Java) meaning "noisy". It is pronounced "buh-che-prot".

the long melody that you find in VoB and SOAD is typical melody from middle eastern singing. Indonesia has been influenced with middle east culture since long time ago, including music.

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has a music culture but recently there are some Islamic teachers who say that music is not allowed because of sin, not all Indonesians agree with that teaching including VOB, that's why VOB made this song
