Thank you very much for posting this. My control was doing the same thing. Turned out mine already had the updated fuse but where the wire connects to the alternator, it was corroded. Wire brushed the terminals and now have AC again! Thank you!!!!

I actually made this repair with 20 bucks, new fuse block that is water tight seal with fuse new wires, I ended up putting a seal across that top plate to stop the water from over spray from the wheels, that cover lets water in like crazy so far she's been dry ever since... Great video!!

I wish I'd have found this video about 4 months ago, But I'm glad I did find it because everytime I stopped at thermo king they told me to put it in a parking lot leave it here for 2 week and will try to get to it. Thanks a lot for your video and be safe out there.

When i said don't forget to take the train horns it really hit me because i watch all of your videos you always talk about not messing with alot of wires like in these new trucks. We all here enjoy your Channel because we get to ride with you, enjoy you talking and telling stories but most of all is your Learning Channel of watching you work on anything. I still enjoy JBG Travels for over 5 years But i'm from the ol school of Trucking.. I drove trucks in the 80's until my accident that left mee confined to this wheelchair,,, So like you say if anyone day is bad,,,,,,,, The try to make the next day better. BONECRUSHER Keep the videos rolling and stay safe,,,,,,,,,,,,'' God Bless

I swear, thermo king just rip drivers off. you could replaced that with a plan old 50amp block from home depot for 10 bucks. OK so when that special fuse goes, you're going to have to replace it again for $115 bucks because it looks like the fuse is molded into the cable. Thanks for the video!

Hi Larry the new ADL Thermo King Tech. Shame on them for bad engineering in the salt zone. Obviously, the shop sees it a lot. And the alternator terminal was green. That upgrade should be free. I am sure the bossman will have upgrades for you to install in the affected units in Maryland. LHL and Volvo: give me a break!! Keep on truckin'. PS you should put ADL on your big orange and make more $$$

The display in the sleeper is totally dead. I did press reset and checked all fuses in the control box under the bed. In the APU itself I flicked the engine switch and I also found a cable that had been merged together with a sleeve (didnt look original) and the repair had come apart (!) but the problem was NOT resolved when I put the cables together again... Any ideas? (Also one of the cables for the buzzer had come apart, not that I think that it matters)

The way john's Volvo crash avoidance was beeping continuously would drive anyone insane after a short while, I wonder how much that option cost your boss. John's truck does not beep anymore and he seems less stressed now. Did your boss disable the system on JBG's truck to keep him from going insane?
