I really like their design. Earthspark as a whole has that early 20th century retrofuturism robot design mixed with a bit of Nior. Arcee looks so much like the Maschinenmensch from Metropolis. Nightshade gets that in both modes. The owl mode really fits a style from the 1920s-1940s.

I just got a copy of them on clearance, and they're a good figure, but I wish (and this is an issue I have with the design in general) that the wings moved down around their waist and made it look like they were wearing a trenchcoat since the books she likes in the show are, I'm pretty sure, mystery novels! But, that said, to me, the eyes kinda look like they're wearing goggles! I do think that we will see them again, most likely in the comics, or as a beastformer in a beast wars comic! And as for toys, I do think that maybe at some point we WILL see a new figure of them, and I'm kinda excited to see that-

the show revolves around a new transformers species emerging on earth, and since they're brand new individuals the "terrans" as they're called are similar to the malto children in many ways. season one is about the children and terrans growing together as a family while hiding the existence of the terrans from G.H.O.S.T. (a secretive goverment agency working with the autobots and megatron). the writings pretty good and the stories solid plus the main villain is a human again, so i recommend it.

I Do like me some April 1st crossover reviews. As for this figure. I'm not a huge fan of the robot mode aesthetics, BUT I do like me some owl alt-modes. I'd like to see more of them for sure since owls are nothing but flying kitty cats anyway, lol.

i haven't been able to watch Earthspark becauusee i dont have paramount+ but i hope i can get this figure someday! their face is a little creepy but its not the end of the world to me. they seem like a really fun little figure and its always nice to have more queer representation! also they make bigots irrationally angry and its always good to see that :)

Ngl, at first Jawbreaker and Thrash have always been my favorite Terrans at first ever since I watched Earthspark last year cuz' imo I think would've been cool if a Season 2 episode would focus on them and yet maybe reference "Super Mario Bros." too... But y'know, for Nightshade? I think they're alright in my book, I love their Owl form since it reminds me of Owl from Winnie the Pooh but if Owl was a Maximal :)
