Agreed. It’s so delightful ti me. It is the most underrated, clean, regency fiction book, in my opinion, at this time.

Loved listening in to your recap! Interesting reads. I personally loooove The Blue Castle, but the opening is intense. 😢 I liked the Beatrix Potter title when I read it, too! ♥️🌿

I laughed out loud so many times with Valancy's sarcastic thoughts and responses to the "mean crew" near the end. haha I have always been enamored with Beatrix Potter's illustrations and the cozy way they make me feel.

@@OldeAmericanSpirit I finished! Not spoiled by a review just from the story itself lol. Started Penelope story but I don’t know much about theater but guess I’ll learn lol! There a book I read long time ago called dreaming in black and white then a less good sequel dreaming in technicolor that talked about musical’s and movies and it was interesting though more Christian chick lit.

@@938quilt Gotcha! To be honest, I almost didn't read the whole Skymar series because of the cover of Penelope's! I'm not a theatre person either, but once I got into it, I loved it - more than Izzy! Mainly b/c of the characters and witty dialogue, and it was more about book, movie, bible, & actress references than theatre to me... Jane Austen, Julie Andrews, You've Got Mail, Audry Hepburn, Queen Esther, Cinderella, etc. SO fun.
