The Aprilia RS 457 2024 is the next big thing from the Noale-based Italian bikemaker. Powered by a 457cc parallel-twin engine, the new supersport motorcycle from Aprilia will lock horns with the likes of the KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 400 & the upcoming Yamaha R3. We take a quick look at the RS457 on the sidelines of MotoGP Bharat to see what the new Aprilia brings to the table. Watch the full video for more details.

4lakh ex-showroom. it can be a bit more expensive than the RC due to the extra cylinder. But should undercut the ninja 400 (5L ESRP) which is CKD. I believe R3 will also be around 4L

4lakhs on road, 5 lakhs is way too much since parallel twin royal enfield are also made in india if talking purely engine wise.

Looks cool. 5 to 5.5L ex-showroom!? Good luck! India is not Europe where people get one bike for daily commute and another for track days. Those who can afford to do that here, I doubt will go for this.

This is outrageous! The Ninja 400, being a CBU costs like 5.2 lakh ex-showroom. The 457 is already a failure if the ex-showroom price is above 4.5 lakhs.

​@@subinsaji2805it's not made outside of india . Parallel twin are not that expensive to produce . Royal Enfield interceptor 650 comes with exact same engine configuration parallel twin with 270° firing order minus the electronic gizmo. You can add 3 to 4% cost of extra electronic equipment present in bike . Anything above 3.50 - 3.60 is Aprilia charging extra as to maintain its brand value .

This is a make or break chance for Aprilia . If they price it right like Harley and triump has done acc. to Indian market then they have a chance in India . Otherwise it will just be seen in reviews not on roads. Considering how good ninja 400 has been over the years just a slight premium on it has impacted it's sales numbers in India but it's fair cause it's not made in India . acc. To me rs457 should be priced 3.8-4.2(with quickshifter) ex showroom if they don't want to make it here and then export it to other markets.

If they price it closer to MT03/R3 then a good part of that crowd will come to Aprilia. If they price is close to RE 650 twins, then they will get the crowd that cannot wait for huge waiting times. If they price it close to the new KTM 390 then people who want to upgrade from older KTMs and don't want to pay a premium for a single cylinder bike, will come to aprilia.

Agree 💯 percent, 3.9 on road going to bring more sale's for Piaggio Aprilia, but reliability issues always be there in their history books 📚, Availability of spares, maintenance cost, service staff behaviour,are concerns?, It's not all about just sell the bike with attractive price tag, Fuel efficiency list goes on and everything counts after sale, In other hand Yamaha r3 is proven machine affordable mantience and spares availability, service centres are many through out our country, I think Yamaha r3 is clear winner 🏆.

@@DAB009 No contradiction, But We have to see how it performs, Sale's and spares availability offcourse service centres are Big concerns, Yamaha r3 goes upto 190, It's more than enough for any roads on the face of earth, Even I like Aprilia.

On road price under 5 lacs. will be great. Higher than this will loose buyers. Even i will buy this bike if it is under 5 lacs. Otherwise i will go for gt650.

@@theghost2772 390 duke is a great street bike but i am more into sound of the bike and enjoy the weather. Aprilia has 270 crank engine thats why i am waiting for it otherwise gt650 have the best 2 cylinder sound.

Like the thing is I was about to go for the new duke 390 2024 which is almost 4 lacs in my state… but now seeing this beautiful machine I am reluctant… Is the bike is under 5 I would definitely go for it ngl… but can you like explain that 270” crank engine ?? I personally need performance , reliability and looks…. And this machine provides more better performance obv and looks also although not sure about reliability…!

I like that you brought up the rear tire it is nice and fat and give it a nice full size proper sport bike look as opposed to something that looks like a small cc bike beginner bike it’s very confident inspiring

Thanks for review but I don't think I will pay same price as of NInja 400 for this locally made bike which is unproven and Ninja comes with great great trust factor. So they should keep the price good.

For me globally apirillia sells more than kawasaki such that they have leftover money to compete in motogp, and so apiriia knows what they are doing, it's only a case of reliability and service here.

@@Raveendhana I doubt global sale numbers are higher than Japanese solid bike, even then as you mentioned reliability isn't that great, when 660 came out it had multiple issues on brand new bike.

Next time you get a chance to do a review of a new bike, carry a measuring tape in your pocket. Its not just the pricing, but seat height and ground clearance are equally important.

I get the raised eyebrows from Indians but the brand stature demands that price . And with a tune , exhaust it’s a monster with Italian styling We hope for lesser oil leak issues n recalls like the RS660 . Which was only the minority tbh .

If this is priced at 5.5 lakhs ex-showroom. it'll definitely go 6+ lakhs on road. _____this will be a DISASTER_____ Very less people will buy it just like the Kawasaki Ninja 400, which is a failure in India. Z900 sells more than the 400. My suggestion will be keeping the ex-showroom price under 4.5 lakhs. Even tho a lot of customers will be missed but a lot will be willing to go with on road price of 5 lakhs.
