Delayed by a bout of Covid but today I finally got to take my first ride on the new Aprilia SR GT 125cc.
Join me for the run and my fist impressions of the new bike.

This Bike is fantastic, I own a red Sport Model and I really like it, I bought mine in July and have driven 1800 km since then. Perfect Complement to my two Motorbikes. My Motorbikes are a 1999 BMW R 850 R and a Guzzi V7 Special from 2016.

V7 special is my dream bike, I'm gonna buy an SR GT next though, it just ticks all the boxes for me at the moment

You’re welcome to bring it over to Fife 😉 Looks like a great scooter and one to keep. The stand might be a technique thing that you will get used to. Great video 👍

It would be a good choice, the handling is excellent which will quickly build your confidence as a new rider, plus it’s from a super-reliable brand so mechanical issues should not be a worry.

@@scottishzoomer Very excited at the moment, CBT pass yesterday, but have been riding a 50cc for a couple of months, so that helped. Just need that extra oopmh for the Welsh hills, something I’m sure you also understand up there! How is it on the hills so far?

@@sdwilliams72 you’ll notice a big difference from the 50cc in almost every respect. I’ve been riding a Honda Zoomer 50cc for the last three years, despite having several 125 scoots in the past. At the moment I’m just travelling about on the flat to get used to the handling of the Aprilia, but this machine has some real power so I certainly don’t think hills are going to be an issue. It’s a lovely scooter.

Let me just say its my first bike in quite a few years, and i love it, the only downside is overtaking can be Tricky cause of the low speed, but hey cant complain its a 125, im só happy

Great. I’ve got a friend who has the 200cc version and he loves it. Can’t fault my 125 SRGT, a great bike to own, good luck with yours.

Hi Scottish zoomed watched your great videos can you tell me there is a lever on the front part of the fuel compartment can you enlighten me to what it does

Hi, glad you have enjoyed the videos. The small plastic lever in the fuel cap compartment opens the under seat storage, it’s a kind of emergency access system if the pad next to the ignition doesn’t work or the seat release gets stuck somehow.

Does the instrument display have a "trip computer" selection? I see the odometer but no choice for a trip "A" or trip "B" to keep track of trip miles?

Hi, there is a mode button that changes options on the display which include a trip meter. I tend to use the bike for shorter trips so can’t say I’ve ever used it though.
