Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory vs BMW S1000RR Laguna Seca Fast Laps!

I let my buddy Leo Cruz Olvera, a racer from Mexico, take the Tuono 660 Factory at Laguna Seca.
He consistently clocks 1:40s and then couple 1:39s. For reference, liter bikes at Laguna were averaging low 1:40s, fast folks were in the 1:30s.
The actual pace starts around the 4 minute mark.

idk how aprillia madde the 270 degre p-twin sound so much like a V4, the mt07 and ktm 890 dosent evnen come close

I also have the 660 factory, and bro I love that with the stock exhaust, past 6000 rpm it starts screaming like a V4. So so much fun on this bike

It's absolutely phenomenal, your riding! Would you mind sharing your suspension set-up coupled with your own weight and temperature? This year, I'll be on track a hell of a lot with the same bike and am really interested in what worked for you.

tyty. this was my pro buddy from Mexico riding my bike. the bike is on stock suspension, set to my weight (145lbs ~ 150lbs).

The sound is particularly good on this video. What did you do for your microphone setup, please? Also, what exhaust system was on the bike?

Thank you! I ran my GoPro 11 Mini and I covered the mic holes with some mic foam; cut small pieces and then double-sided taped over! it def seems to help with the wind noise.

Hauling! I went to the Racers Days, were you out there for that too? My first track day and I can see he's hitting corners 10-15mph faster than I was on my v4 haha.

Red light flashing is traction control kicking in. orange to red is the redline meter!

@suh_slow6902 Nice. Mine just came in. Kinda wondering how you got it to record data and leave your phone behind. I haven't gotten to take mine out yet and I guess I'm a bit confused/not trusting over the functions of it.

@@Dmaine51 I made a video going over how the unit works! Feel free to check it out. After actually using it at Laguna Seca, it's fairly intuitive/simple to use. The only "tedious" part is you have to "start" it and "end" it if you want to conserve battery/memory after each session; AND then you have to download the data to review it (it only takes couple minutes to download). And then, the parameters are all viewable, pretty much the same as the 1st gen in terms of the data display.
