What a beautiful cake! It looks a break my mom used to bake and gave as Christmas gifts to my father's and hers closest friends! I still remember how my home (back in El Salvador),smelled on those days! Thank you for the recipe! Also I love your pan...it has a beautiful design!

Plain flour has more protein.. cake flour has less protein

Hi. I tried your recipe but I used all purpose flour instead of cake flour. The rest of the ingreds same. However the cake did not rise. Turned out like kuih bakar. What could be the problem? Taste is ok.
