APS CAM870 Co2 Shotgun (Airsoft) - How to Play Cheap w/o WADS and Covers?

If you have the APS CAM870 Co2 shotgun, you might think the wads and paper covers for each shot is a big problem because they are expensive to replace all the time. Here is my suggestion for those who want replacements in cheaper route. Not the best result, but at least it works.
I personally strongly suggest you use the wads and keep re-using them or get new wads if needed. They are nothing you can make yourself and they are designed for the sabot purpose. If you use other things, your groupings and shooting distance will decrease significantly for sure.
NEVER try to load those improperly loaded shells into the magazine, they can be stuck inside and you will need to dismount the gun to fix it!

Hey, i been doing some testing for cheap wads, and the best i've found is packing peanuts and packing chips (the stuff that protects your items in delivery). they keep a good airseal and get a slightly higher FPS thats the standard APS Waddings by around 10fps. for the caps, cling film or sellotape works pretty well to. Either way i wouldn't of thought to try different stuff for the cam870 if it wasnt for your videos, so thanks MakHobby!

I reload plinking ammo for my real shotgun in a similar way! I use pistol powder and airsoft BBs instead of shotgun powder and lead shot.

Many more options out thare then the caps that fits on them ( and your way you should not need to ram something on top of the shell get a drill and get the cut out bit for that size hole and find some good material to use as the plug

That is a good point I'm just amazed at how much they cost.its out of my price range for a airsoft/ BB gun .i would never buy 1 that cost that much but I do injoy seeing them n waching you use them.

Airguns are mostly cheaper, but also less realistic. The airsoft -> anything realistic like GBB are expensive.. not to mention shell-ejecting with new designs... so ya, they are pricy as a norm too.. dang! I will call this one an airgun more than airsoft though, because it can shoot steel bbs and stuff too! LOL!... have fun watching the vids!

Freefire AirsoftandGaming don't forget to search CAM870 on youtube, you will see a lot of videos I did on this gun, including using HPA on the shells and pump them up to 2000psi and fire up to 30 joules, as hot as a FN303 riot gun used in the military. When loaded with the right projectile, it can put a man down in one shot for sure. :)

Buy a sheet ove rubber or kids plado , pice of paper above the bbs then wax on to to seal it up

steven martell search up cam870 on youtube and you will my crazy videos of this gun, I have shot many things out of it already, and also converted it to shoot HPA with 2000psi of air, booming a crazy 30 joules shot, now THAT is a good mod

Wow is that gun rilly$500? Idk how it is in Canada but hear in the good old USA I can buy a rill Remington 870 for $300.i would thank that it should be around the same price point .

Yes the gun is expensive, but you cannot shoot your friend with a firearm though, and not to forget - try shooting your 12ga at home and see what happen next minute or two? Even my student in the states (SC) who shot his shotgun with blanks in the house... totally fuckin pissed off his neighbors big time... lol... this thing you can shoot your friends, shoot at home, break glass and bottles, not bad for all that stuff you can do with only this and not the firearm.

Yea it might be cheaper to mod a real shotgun to fire these shells though legality and ethics.
