Yea, the manual controls was pretty huge. I didn't have to take out my phone, and go through 3-4 clicks to access the feature.

Hey! not a problem. I was a bit stunned with Godox. All my lights are Aputure but the godox are an excellent alternative.

Thank you! I used the godox ever since the making of this video. I may indeed have to get rid of my amaran 200d. I believe godox saw the flaw and tweek their own version. Power brick is slightly bigger on the godox which is good. No crazyheat like the amaran.

The LA200D has a Bowens mount, and the Aputure Fresnel 2x fits the Bowens mount. So theoretically they are compatible. But as the Fresnel 2x isnt made by Godox, I can't be sure of its effect and safety issues such as overheating.

200x is the bi color version. If Godox sends me a bi color version I can also compare. That would be a fair comparison.

I used the same softbox on each of the lights. I didn't do the reflectors since I discovered that the Amaran had quality issue where their own reflectors didn't match. cheers~!

@@theCameraVille thank you very much for quick answer! If you used the same softbox then it's a 1:1 comparison, perfect! From what I see, the Godox (Litemon) has 25% more output than Amaran.

Oh yes, I only bought the Amaran because Im in their ecosystem but the Godox didnt disappoint. Further investigation on the unit I noticed that is not in the video is, Godox power brick is bigger than the amaran which keeps it cooler and allows more power. Very smart on Godox end.

@aputurelighting Do you think your new S series light can compete with the Godox Litemon LA200D ?

I guess we are a bit on the opposite end. My Amaran 200D had a color shift which was sad. It's also brand new to make this video, while my test unit from Godox and accuracy was excellent. In my past experience, it's always a hit or miss with any brand. Just depends where they source the component during that time.

What godox are you using. My vl 300 and 150 are more. Olor accurate then the 120d and 300d. You got a defective product
