I've noticed that once these boats get bigger and bigger, they seem to become less clever in utilizing the space. The solutions are pretty straight forward. Not saying the boats are ugly, FAR from it! My personal love in seeing these videos is the solutions they come up with. That's why the Galeon 640 is without a doubt my favorite boat on Aquaholic's channel. So many amazing features and innovative solutions.

I agree, and on this boat I found two things somewhat odd: the TV screen in the saloon doesn't disappear, and the galley right beside the helm??
@MrDLYouTube

@@Schnitz13 : I also don't care for boats with the galley beside the helm. It's just a strange place to put it. There are certainly other boats in this size range that I much prefer over this one.

Exactly the same thing i was going to write. I like the design that goes into maximizing space and the Galeon 640 is my top pick if i were to get a owner-operated boat!

As an aside, just wanted to say, the first person perspective on all your videos is hands down the best format. So easy to follow the layout and see exactly what you're telling us about. Many other channels go for a more "professional" camera person and presenter style and they're rubbish by comparison.

Other channel's videos are usually an overproduced mess. The camera speeds up and slows down randomly (speed ramping it's called; I call it what it really is; lowest common denominator, mouth breather MTV editing). I absolutely hate that "effect". It's basically not showing off the boat as if you, the viewer, were a buyer, but as if you were some moron gawping "oMg bIG bOaT mE cLaP mY hAnDs yAy!!1" Those videos aren't interested in selling the boat, but in selling a "lifestyle" which may or may not exist. Social media addled hype. Pathetic. Nick's videos do use subtle editing, but it's so seamless you can't tell it's there, and that's much harder to pull off. But it sells the boat and, fittingly, the lifestyle associated with it, much better than those instaface bait videos ever could.
@denjo3131

@@visionist7 Indeed, these videos looks more personal, it's just like that Nick is someone you know from daily live 🙂. Other channels are often too professional, like a big ad on TV. I watch them only if there are real exceptional boats/yachts.

I can’t quite put my finger on exactly why, but this boat strikes me as a Charter boat, more than an owner boat. Still lovely, and would be a great way to cruise around the Med, or perhaps the Caribbean. Glad you got the chance to show us this one, with an always excellent Aquaholic Tour!

Agreed, and you have to figure that manufacturers know the percentage of their customers who are going to buy these boats primarily to charter so they can afford their 4-6 weeks or so each year. Designing and manufacturing floorplans that cater to the charter market is just good business, really -- though I much prefer boats that are owner-centric.

It is nice that you were not bothered by other people on the vessel with you. Usually when you are filming larger vessels you have people on there at the same time as you are and we miss all the 'places like this' for the bits and pieces. Love the pocket doors, and I wish they would do more of them, especially when it involves the en suite. The swinging door right into the loo is a not so good idea. I was, however, surprised at the galley on this one and was expecting something larger. But as always, thank you for all of your hard work showing us these fabulous 'kits'.

They have gone for a little Italian styling inside ! Not to much just a little to make it feel really modern and timeless! I love princess and sunseeker styling with large square u shape seating and tv directly opposite so 8 to 10 guests can all sit comfortably watching the game or a movie! Or just all sit and talk the night away! Besides eating and outdoors the saloon is in my opinion the most important area of a yacht! Simple is the key not bars and fancy bean shape lounge seating like azimut is not for me! Nice clean large Interior is key! Just dining table and lounge seating and that's it! Most owners sell to go bigger so the bigger the interior feels the better! To many yachts are cluttered simplicity is the key!!! Get it😁 Fantastic boat can't wait to see the model up!! A superior exercise in modern yacht design with no boringly plain surfaces and an exciting use of fabrics - but why oh why does the eating area remind me of a 1970's works canteen? I would very much hope this is an owner option. It would be good to see the different lighting settings, interior as well as exterior, in the night-time but then ho-hum I suppose not everything is possible... All in all a jolly good 'sneak peak' - maybe we will be treated with a view of the sea trials?

Nick, you have done it again. I viewed this just now while on my lunch break. I totally agree with your sentiments regarding this new edition tithe Sunseeker line. I was surprised by the galley placement at first, but it grew on me as you went further into your exploration if this absolutely stunning boat... er ship. The finishes, styles and design are spot on for a yacht of this class. Sunseeker has done it again. Now, I'll await your actual sea trial video to view you at the helm.

I expected a wave in the dayheads' mirror =( Got one in the VIP =) The galley in the wheelhouse means you can't cook if underway at night, which would seriously put me off. If you've got a crew the idea is you can make passage after dark as well and they'll take care of it. But meanwhile everyone goes hungry on this boat. Unless they conn from the flybridge which might not be practical in winter (yes I paid for the boat so I'll use it in winter too lol). IMO it isn't a real superyacht if you can't access the flybridge/sundeck from the inside stairwell. It looks like they could even have managed it here. Fold down balconies would be nice either side of the dining area. The TV in the forward VIP could be mounted on the centreline with a slight redesign. Much better for viewing from the berth. I'd like to see someone introduce an invisible trackless system for combining twin single berths; just put the track under the berth itself and have it slide along itself. The bow searchlight is aimed inboard for a spot of navel gazing. Or lighting a porn shoot, whichever comes naturally.

OMG Nick... FABULOUS!!! 🤭 The detailing is superb & she just looks, well... ‘balanced’! I’m guessing the wall covering is a kind of water-silk, gorgeous & as for the eucalyptus, superb! As others, not 100% taken with galley position but all-in-all what a super, super yacht!!! Thanks Nick 👍🏻

A very nice day dream winning the Loto boat. People win multiple millions every week. I am afraid I will have to settle for something a bit over fifty feet and nearly 20 years old but seeing the yachts you Vlog it reminds us of the betters days and the glass half full logic. Thanks again Nick for the time and energy you use to make these flights of fancy happen.

Interesting idea with the galley/helm combo. Wonder how that will be in practice. I can imagine great and not so great reasons. Nice to see something different though. I realize this is going to be a crewed boat but I mean interesting for a crew as well.

Love the multi position sun lounger! What an awesome yacht! I like how the kitchen has been moved forward giving more space to the guests. This will make someone really happy but I’m thinking would be a good one for starting your own charter company. Not too big but big enough to make it stand out from the rest of the yachts in the marina and for holding more sea toys. Would defo add the hot tub to the fly bridge. Not sure if it would be better with the massive main cabin or go for the additional 2 doubles though?
@visionist7
@visionist7 3 жыл бұрын
For charter, definitely have the extra cabin. Maybe even explore a Pullman berth option for those cabins if available. That would give the boat 12 berths, the maximum for charter. The dining table would have to grow though (it looks like it does maybe split and expand).

A Few Thoughts: I know I'm not the only Yank to be sitting at work an get an 8:00am notification that Nick had posted another vid... In the notification you see "5.7 mil 88 foot Sunseeker....." and your morning schedule has to be altered! **'Hold my calls for an hour please'** Also, as another viewer pointed out, LOVE your first-person perspective filming method. It's 'grass roots'... Earthy... Human... So "us", to so many of your viewers... You show us the stuff we'd all poke, prod, open, unlatch, peek behind and such. Don't ever lose that 'I showed up, popped on this fine craft, and had a look around' feel Nick. We love you man! Oh yeah - the vessel. My God she's a beut...! Love the simplicity and refined contemporary design, and the varied use of materials - truly stunning! It's pure eye-candy every where you look. The transformer-like Beach Club door is engineering porn! That's an "I'll take it...!" feature if ever there was. I'm SO grateful Sunseeker was willing to allow you to film it in the 3 positions rather than just describe it to us. "Video is worth a million words". Many will overlook the flexibility offered by the free standing furniture in the Aft Cockpit. The area sees a ton of exposure, but it allows you to quickly and economically replace the seating are in hours, without having to have the boat shut down to have the area stripped and refurbished. Really smart move... As you make your way forward thru the Main Saloon, count the number of raw GRP areas you see... None. Again - just stunning. Nick... Tisk, tisk. As much as I gripe about a lack of TVs on some yachts, this one has TWO and you didn't even mention the one above the vanity dressing area! For suth...! But the VIP Cabin is where it's at for me. Like it better than the Master Cabin! ALL of the cabins of of exemplary quality... As an architectural designer, I did notice one thing. Throughout the entire boat you'll notice a similarity - virtually every wall covered area is done so in the same brilliant method. A material/leather/fabric is attached to a padded panel and that is attached to the walls in a jigsaw-like pattern whose shape becomes as much a part of the design as the finish itself. This creates fantastic shapes and lines throughout, but it also allows the owner to do full refurbs to the boat every few years without having to 'gut' the boat! It's pure genius. The Fore Deck is obviously beautiful, but I'm surprised Sunseeker didn't have similar 'reversible seating' with the front sunpads allowing them to face aft as well. The flybridge is incredible as well... You can tell I don't own anything of this calibre because I'd want a hot tub on the Flybridge as well...! On the crew quarters... The crew are typically only down below to shower and sleep I would assume. Hardly an area where anyone would go to relax due to the cramped quarters. That said, a crew of 4 would have darn near constant interaction with the owner and guests on a boat this size, so you can bet their individual personalities, and ability to get along well with others, is equal to their ability to perform their given roles. As an owner, I would personally create an environment where working for me was 'legendary' in the industry with people beating on my door to work on MY vessel...! If I can afford a 6mil yacht - I can afford to pay the staff handsomely and spoil the hell out of them at every opportunity...! I've often wondered Nick - when a beauty like this is NOT trans-Atlantic, is there a means by which to fill-up midway through an Atlantic crossing? Maybe a silly question, but I've always wondered are these boats stuck on just one continent...??? Great tour as always sir! Cheers mate! ***Edit*** For the 6 individuals who 'Thumbs Downed' the video - I wish your mother would have hugged you more often.

@@oelruof5816 oh course it would get used a lot! People have to eat and grab drinks for the cruise! My personal preference is the galley towards the rear of the boat, so you can just walk in the sliders and grab yourself a refreshment. Would be a pain if you have a big gathering and you have to navigate all the way to the front of the boat for a snack or drink. But that’s just my opinion, I bet there are people out there who love to cruise and grab a snack at the same time 😁
