I have 4 MP40s on my Acro tank. It would be nice to be able to angle the flow with these. Thinking about buying 4 of them and trying them out. Only thing I don't like is the lack of modes seeing how it uses Mobius and I don't like having a wire in the water.

Speaking of magnets....I wonder how much longer before those vortech pump design patents expire? On a separate topic...I found an awesome way to clean out the tube lines in a used Trident I just picked up and will definitely use this hack when it's time to do some routine preventive maintenance on the unit. I took a spare, meaning a clean and unused, syringe from a box of Frank's "F" Aiptasia box, and used it to push RO water through the lines to clean them out. The syringe tips fit snugly into the lines. After the water, I used the syringe empty to push air and purge any remaining water drops. Good thing I thought of this because the sample line was full of crud and would've led to issues with functioning. Cheers.

I have MPs but tired of the wet sides failing. How do the Nero compare, worth replacing with or keep getting wet sides every year or two when the fail? Thanks for the insight

I was wondering when it was coming, love my nero pumps!!! The nero 3 is amazing for smaller tanks, nero 5 works great also even in a 90g it move a little water (obviously need a couple to do alot) This 7 should be awesome for 90+ gallons or even smaller if sps dominate, it all depends on your tank of course but regardless they're awesome pumps and easy to control! Only thing I can think to wish for would be power wire on the outside but we all know who runs that world 😆 Nero of course wins for cost vs value hands down

You put the pump during the setup into random mode, then you review the flow... Was that test on this random mode or on 100% constant mode? You said there is no mp60 flow therfore 100% nero flow... It's confusing 🤣🙈
