It's great that u understood that but I've been watching these videos on how to breed bettas but Non of them actually said on HOW CAN U TELL that those are bubbles and those are the eggs, and I still can't tell the diffrence, so maybe u or someone can Enlight me on that...?

@@darrkcrystal7080 Pay attention to the color of your bubbles. Eggs tend to have a yellowed tint towards the middle. The yellowed tint indicates when a bubble is fertilized. Just like you, I'm not 100% sure if this is the correct information. Hopefully it is. :)

I kept a male Betta in a tank with 2 other fish (pleco and I'm not sure what other one it was just cheap) and never had problems with them Fighting or even being aggressive or territorial but I did have them in a 10 gallon tank so if you want to mix it up you can have Bettas with other fish sometimes it all just depends on the Betta itself and it's temperament

@@popemse2839 no, not the female. After the female lays her eggs the male may chase her away as she has no parenting instincts and may eat the eggs or fry. You can see the actively ate an egg

Same!! A few days ago, my mom and I went to Petco and got a betta fish labeled female. I tried to breed them but then i realized that can’t be a female cause of all the colors and signs of a male. I look at the container it came from and the lid says male but the bottom was labeled elephant ear female. Thank goodness I didn’t release the males together 😅 but I’m upset 😭

You'll know when the female is ready to breed when you look under her stomach and see a bump meaning she is pregnant and you will see a small white dot, that means she's ready, but if they male is attacking her aggressively and you see her darting away that means they need more time to get comfortable so remove the female and isolate her from the male for another day or two

@@evanvue5904 so that’s what it means. My female betta had a white little dot under her stomach. Should have breed her with my male betta. They’re both the same kind of betta (halfmoon)

I usually use a 3 gallon box the box/aquarium doesn't need to be big 2. that depends it could be just a few or hundreds 3. the babies have to be fed for the first time after 2-3 days, twice a day you have to do a water change every day 4. this can take between 1-3 days depending on the temperature 5. usually until the babies start swimming freely Hope this helped!

You should check the female if she has the egg and ready for breeding. Or else it won't work. You will know it if there is 1 egg outside of her stomach

Try conditioning your females. If you don't condition them they won't produce a lot of eggs and won't feel the urge to breed. Be sure you see the ovipositor. The thing is bettas don't really meet up unless they breed, so if the female doesn't want to breed the male assumes she's just an enemy. It's not her being uncooperative, females aren't meant to just mate on a whim like males. Eggs are a much larger gamete and therefore require more preparation, plus females are picky because of how much extra energy they have to use to make these larger gametes. Also might depend on male attitude and experience. If a first timer his nest might not be perfect and females are very picky about nests since their genetics depends on the nest quality and male attitude. In a lot of fish females are actually very attracted to males with current nests or batches of fry. Just keep trying and don't expect your female to just give in immediately, she's her own fish and females tend to be picky, that goes for most animals :) females may also show signs of interest, sometimes they nip and flare back

I hatched BBS, but they seem to die the next day after hatching, how to keep them alive for a longer time.

Bettas need water pure one without chlorine so yes and also don't add air stone while breeding do it after you take out the male so they fry can breath

Yes there’s water conditioner you need to add to make it safe for fish and they are tropical fish so water heater and sponge filter 5-10 gallons for one fish . You need to cycle your tank first ( before buying fish ) there’s guides how to do it that will have established good bacteria in the tank to eat up the toxic fish waste. Once your tank is established you should test water weekly and do 20% or so water changes ( with water change add water conditioner as well to new water )

You can potentially put a betta and shrimp together but it depends a lot on the bettas individual personality as well as the type of shrimp and the amount of coverage(hiding) you have for them. There are many factors to consider in this. Make sure you have a heavily planted tank to keep both inhabitants happy either way. Theres no one best food. Just like anything else, bettas benefit from a varied diet. You can do pellets formulated for them, but Id also rotate frozen, live food, or both to make sure they are getting a well rounded diet with a vast amount of nutrients. The best thing I can say as far as keeping your betta active and healthy is make sure you give them enough room. Bettas should not be kept in less than 5 gallons to truly let them thrive. Make sure your tank is well cycled, heated, flitered (with a low flow filter), and has plenty of live plants for them to interact with. If you opt to go without live plants and do any artificial decor be careful of anything with sharp edges that may potentially tear fins! Hope this helps🥰

So I ended up getting another male for the female since I thought she was pretty healthy and bloated . When I paired them they had over 200 eggs . Which now this is 3rd day since they hatched . Super excited !

Well apparently I didn’t know that before you feed the fry with brine shrimp, you’re suppose to kind of wash the brine shrimp before feeding because of the sea salt. I was feeding them straight out the jarl . Unfortunately most of them died because of that. But I have about 15 of them that are well and healthy now. But yeah , that was my mistake
