I raise plecos so I have lots of solid waste. I try to feed the hundreds of fry in one general area...so this method works great to pick up all their stringy waste plus bits of food in a confined area! And on another note...these smaller tubes work GREAT for siphoning fry into a separate container like a 5 gallon bucket. Far easier than trying to net the fragile little guys. Good video!

Like your videos, helpful. Your methods are very nice. I live in south India where temperature hits 36 to 38 degrees Celsius and high humidity too in summer. It would be great if you can advise on how maintain a planted tank during summer,Thanks 🙏🏻

Love your tank! I started doing this in fry and quarantine tanks a few months ago and like it much better than gravel vacs that keep breaking and leaking. I added a ball valve to one end (outlet) so I can prime it and control flow more easily. I too let the water sit. I've accidentally sucked up a few ghost shrimplets and guppy fry. They all survived the ride. 😄

Always wondered how people gravel vac with those dense bushy plant growth in their aquariums. Thank you! Can't wait to one day be able to use CO2 to grow those lovely looking stem plants like yours.

Good stuff, never thought of using smaller tubing, but I am getting tons of shrimp and fry now, so I need to be more aware of what I am picking up.

Beautiful tank! Very nice video. As always, simple as the video is, love the level of quality in your editing. Audio is awesome. Your confession of multiplying fish in this aquarium unacceptable, however! You’ve got to get that firmly under control. 😂

Exactly what I do! Except sometimes I also take a fork and rake at the substrate to pull away any hair algae that doesn't come up from the siphon.

Attach Turkey baster to it & you can agitate the substrate 😁
