Hey i was wondering if you had tried to use tubing connecting two aquarium so the fish would travel vice versa between the 2 aquariums. Becuase i think i saw a video. Any tips in making one?

Hi! I'm in Japan, speaking Japanese. You said "eh key bana" but it should be "E" (like the name of the letter, or the sound in the word "English") "keh" (like the "ke" in "kevlar") "bana" (imagine the "nana" from banana, but starting with a b instead of n) so, E Keh Bana 生花いけばな. It means living flowers, or planted flower artworks :) Thanks for your take on this beautiful art style!

Even in English, it is clearly written as "ikebana"; so I would expect people to mispronounce it like "ai-keebana", but no, he goes "eh-kehbana" 🤣 But the tank is really pretty.

I was glad to see you rocking and owning the Crocs in socks... 👍😁 My beautiful mother passed away two years ago from cancer. She absolutely loved this kind of blue China. I have some of her beautiful pieces. She also bought me my first aquarium when I was just a little girl. She was such a classy lady and this would absolutely be beautiful to do with these pieces .. this would make a beautiful memorial Ikebana style tank in her honor! That's the beauty of your channel and videos.. the inspiration is like none other! I love it MD! Hey MD, your local charity shops will have some gorgeous old china bowls, ideal for ikebana tanks. I use them in my low budget low tech tanks so I can spend more money on plants!! Nice old blue and white pieces too...

With nano betta setups I feel like you get to do a lot of detailed scaping and experimenting, and it’s so satisfying to watch the intelligent little bettas explore their new home.

Total California noob here, who just wanted some ideas about what to do for my beautiful and brilliant halfmoon betta, to keep him well and happy. When i discovered your channel, I was Immediately taken with your stunning tanks, enthusiasm for your subject, impressive skills, and delightful presentation. Now it's not just Beto in his inherited, 3.5-gallon tank, but a new 10-gallon tank that's currently growing a variety of plants that I pronounce exactly as you do :), two mystery snails, and two ghost shrimp (maybe). I started with 3 ghost shrimp. One died, one is well and active, and one is MIA (or I'm just seeing one at a time of two remaining). In any case, in less than a month, I've somehow moved from being a one-betta-bowl mom to a wannabe aquascaper with two tanks and a roving eye for rocks, sticks, and now thrift-store bowls - and it's All. Your. Fault. Thank you!

That was amazing, as a gardener I love using Asian style placement of plants, your placement and selection is right on as well, it's calming and a spiritual experience to feel the calm and beauty, especially with the one brilliant red fish...nice job...!

Just started watching your videos a few days ago and man, I've been bingeing on them! You have such an eye for shape; this one's particularly beautiful, and I'm about to make a planted 2-gallon tiny aquarium and I *think* I'm going to try a miniature Ikebana arrangement with a ricebowl. (BTW, it's pronounced EEE-keh-bah-nah, Japanese for 'arranging flowers.) Something small; should be fun (and I have way too many reptile tanks in my place to have any big aquariums!) BTW, your kids and wife are adorable, and kudos to your lady for putting up with and supporting your love of aquariums! That rocks.

I love this video....I have 3 Imagitarium 6.8 cubes that I modified by taking out all of the back filter sections and adding my own filter, heater, bubbler and light. I loved this video so much that I changed my 3rd cube to this design. I wish I could post pictures here but I can't, I got into the live planted tank at the beginning of the pandemic. I love your channel here in Middletown, NY
