In this video I wanted to create a really vivid green Aquascape for my Neon Tetra. The neons pop so well against the green aquarium and im so glad I did it. This is a low tech tank with no co2. I find that with simple plants and the right amount of light/nutrients, co2 is not needed.

Do I need submerge Anubia and java fern I mean in substrate

@@aingzuu2110 no don't put anubias or java fern in substrate, it will cause them to rot and die, I found java fern looks best glued onto wood, And Anubias glued onto rocks or wood but near bottom of the tank, Some roots may trail into substrate which is fine but main plant/s needs be on wood or rock 👍

@@aingzuu2110 yeah just use liquid ferts (but check the amount needed for your size tank) these plants take nutrients straight from water column, In my shrimp tank I started last year I've got java ferns that are attached to wood to make a side feature and anubias on rocks around the base the java ferns have grown so much and produced so many baby java ferns I've got another tank set up where I just put all the baby java ferns into, and the anubias has grown 3x it size since I got them, with shrimp I use seachem excel but lower dose due to the copper, and the waste produced by fish or shrimp will help feed any Java fern or Anubias 👍

Literally because of you i got the motivation and interest to make a 30L planted aquarium without filter and its been going great so far. I have an outdoor koi pond with homemade gravel filter and its been great as well. Thank you for these videos that are entertaining to watch and informative. In my aquarium so far i have 3 tetras and 4 shrimps, planning on getting two rainbow sharks and some snails.
