My spanish class teacher says that isn't "ahi" instead I should use "allí"and.... isn't common speak both languages at the same time, it's highly confusing!!!!

When it comes to saying "for here" when ordering at a restaurant, online resources say "para aqui" but when I hear Spanish speakers at restaurants they always say "para aca". Are they both equally fitting in this context?

In Guatemala, an order at a restaurant "to go" is "para llevar," but if you want to eat there at the restaurant you say "para acá" or "para comer acá."

It is used, but much more so in written than spoken Spanish. You can pretty much omit aquel/aquella in spoken Spanish, but aquello can be used in certain phrases like "esto y aquello".

My girlfriend is Peruvian and she said people hardly ever use it. In Peru they usually say allá, aquí and acá from what I’ve seen staying here. And from what I’ve seen aquí and acá are basically synonyms at least here

Of course it's really used even in street language, but aquel can also be used for people, not only necessarily places, and its meaning is not "there" is mostly "that" (for example in: "Ayer vi a aquel tipo" which is "Yesterday I saw that guy")
