I tell you Roy, recycle reviews is rapidly becoming my favorite you tube show. Disappoint: HP 18, one of my old favorites too and yes it has changed. The last five years has changed HP for the worse. BUT I just opened an old HP 25 bottling I purchased a dozen years ago and it is magical. So happy to see you can still appreciate The Glenlivet 12. I bought a couple of cases in the early 1990s i’m still working through and love. Enjoy the variety you bring. Great show!!!!!

Heels Please! Love the crackingly sharp reviews. And tend to agree to a number of them. Some of the big names are just not what they used to be, e.g. Highland Park or Jura. Hope they come back!

Love these recycle vids. Don't ever change the music, it goes so well with the cluncking of the bottles.. and the juggling ;-) Also the fact that you never "trash" any bottle, just point out flaws and weaknesses. And for bottles you review that I have tasted, those comments are in my view spot on. Not begging, but "HEELS PLEASE!" :-)

That was entertaining. I have had the same experience with that Highland Park... thought I loved it, but found I wasn’t reaching for it much. The Longrow sounds pretty special.

Was very much looking forward to this. It's a fantastic first port of call for me. When I am looking for something new, its a great introduction for me to go and seek something new. Just fixing to buy a bottle of Blantons to really kick start start a good American dram journey...and adding a sample of Deanston 12 on the recommendation of a previous Recycled Review. Very recently been tempted by an Arran Amorone finished bottle, at 50 ABV its raised an eyebrow for me. As I say, great learning journey and looking forward to trying the Deanston with my good lady. Top work.

As always, Roy, your level-headed, down to earth perspective is a very refreshing and appreciated voice in the whisky review world. At the end of the day, it’s about what we can all appreciate and enjoy together. I really enjoy this series, it is a different perspective on just the tasting as it gives a overview over the whole time with the bottle from beginning to end, from neck pour to heel pour, tasting alone to sharing with friends, bright sunny days to cold dark winter nights. I don't know for sure if I'm eligible as I am in Ontario Canada but I'll through my hat in. HEELS PLEASE!

Recycled Reviews R the best. One of the best bottles I've ever had was the Longrow Red Port 11yo -- stunning stuff. Would love to get my hands on another,...especially the Malbec.

During the 90s Highland Park was a top 5 whisky for me. No more. Have been burned a couple of times with bad bottles and have moved on to greener pastures. For an Island, I’ll take Talisker 18, and for an Islay, you can’t beat Bunnahabhain 18 or 12 for value. Wish Ardbeg still made the 17, which was fantastic. Also, love both the Springbank 15 and any Longrow.

HEELS PLEASE! I love your reviews. Half a year ago I started to drink and love whisky. I started with a Auchentoshan 12, it isn't bad, but now I bought an Oban 14 and this one is so much better IMO. Please keep doing this great stuff.

Ah, blessed with yet another recycled reviews! I know I'm asking for too much but I'd really like to see you do in depth reviews once in a while (maybe choosing 2 or 3 bottles from each recycled reviews that made the most lasting impressions, be it good or bad or just plain mixed feelings, on you) and of course, HEELS PLEASE!

HEELS PLEASE. I tried a bottle of the older Jura 10. It was a struggle to drink, and I don’t think I’ll ever finish the bottle. I only bought it as It was on clearance for half price so I don’t feel too bad. Another great recycle review.

Thanks for another wonderful edition of these-they're some of the most useful reviews anywhere. Quick note re Hazelburn: my understanding is that the "triple distillation" at Springbank involves no cuts in the second run. So, the spirit has all of the copper contact from three distillation runs, but is only cut twice. Certainly explains why it's more like an unpeated, slightly lighter Springbank than anything coming out of Auchentoshan. Again, thanks so much!

Great video Roy, I have the exact problem with the HP - just not engaging until well into the last 3rd if at all. The problem here is all the 40% ABVs. The 10 however, we get at 43% and 750 rather than 700ml. As such, the entry level expression is my favourite.

Thanks Roy, you provide a great service to novice whisky drinkers like me. I've based all bar one of my recent purchases on your spreadsheet, and all have been good choices. The one that you haven't reviewed yet is Glenfarclas 105. A litre of 60% Glenfarclas for A$105.00 has to be at least an 8 out of 10. Bunnahabhain 12 is probably my favourite. For anyone who wants a good laugh, try watching with the closed captions on. "Space age West key", "Instant 18 yr old" and "doesn't come with an H diamond" are just a few of the funny captions.Cheers Roy, keep up the good work.

Wow.... that Glenfarclas looks amazing:) Hahaha...as Dave once said, "Dalmore...no more" :) I totally agree that Dalmore is sickly sweet with a plum note and a nasty sugar substitute note. Amazing video as usual Roy. I am jealous that I didn't come up with the Recycled Review concept first! Cheers buddy!
