Hi, PMJ is basically only the piano player, Scott Bradley. He does the arranging and has his own recording studio. He hires other musicians to play with him so very often the line-up changes depending on the arrangement he wants for the song. Both Hayley and the wonderful Morgan James have been vocalists and did tour with PMJ in their early years but the vocalists come and go also. PMJ will have more than one line-up on tour at the same time around the world. I saw them in Wellington NZ a couple of years ago and the line-up was really great and they had several vocalists in the show.

Btw: In the beginning of PMJ on YT they had low budget and filmed in Scott Bradlee's living room, so the drummer was often in the background and not seen. It became a running gag in these early days to hide the drummer...

I was privileged to see her in person Oct of 22. Small club setting when she stopped in Omaha Nebraska . The whole evening was unforgettable. I don't think that there was over a hundred people there. We were sitting at a table no more than 15 ft from the stage. It was so perfect that I forgot I had a phone and didn't even take a photo. It was later on the drive home when we realized our blunder. I wasn't the only one mesmerized by her. She did not sing this song she did do Creep. That was worth the price of the tickets. One little side note, she is alot shorter and even prettier in person. Crazy good singer.

When I won a radio station competition to see Haley perform at their station (just after her season of Idol, in 2012), I was warned to be prepared with your question before you meet her because you will forget when it’s your turn. I brought a photo to sign after her performances. I was 2nd line after about 30 people. When it was my turn, wouldn’t you know it, I forgot my question (Irvin Mayfield had invited Haley & Casey to join him at Carnegie Hall, I wanted to ask if she might go so I could make plans for NYC) I waited all the way til she spoke to the last fan. She was signed with Interscope then, so she had 3 large security guys to escort her away. I got her attention & asked if she was accepting the invite? She poked her head out between two guards, flashed a smile with 2 thumbs up & said “Yes”, she even remembered my name after talking to about 30 people. Not only uniquely remarkable singing skills, a beautiful person, great personality she also has great people skills. I was hooked from that day forward almost 12 years ago 🤓

PMJ is a conglomeration of world class musicians. Scott Bradley is the founder, pianist, arranger and all around boss. Adam Kobota on string bass is his a co-musical director and is in most of their videos. There are a couple of troupes of PMJ which is why they have shows in Australia at the same time as Europe or America. If tours are simultanious then Scott runs one and Adam runs the other. Bradley seems to find the best singers and the concerts all feature multiple ones. He said there are about 60 or 70 musicians moving in and out, depending on the song. Haley doing Don't Speak is a treat.

Fairly sure Scott no longer tours with PMJ since he moved out of CA. I was lucky enough to see 5 PMJ shows in 2015, when Haley & Casey joined PMJ & Creep put them on the map. I even got to see Haley perform Creep before the video came out in London. That video was my first to hit 100,000, especially since PMJ released the creep video. Back then, Scott performed probably 90% of the shows. Now, however, he barely makes a PMJ appearance unless it’s in a video that they still put out. I think they’ve had 3 touring casts at the same time, for several years.

New Orleans Dirge is like the jazzy but slower style of music that you may see during things like the funeral parades they have in the streets. This is a bit more upbeat, but you get the idea. Haley is simply amazing with not only her voice but her body language and stage presence, and that dress....WOW!

I love Haley so much and your reactions as well. Seeing that you've uploaded a new reaction always put a smile on my face. This song is perfection, it is so difficult to perform a song like this, in this style with so much flavour is almost impossible to do without feeling like it's forced but you can just tell and you don't doubt for a second that this is so authentic. She is so insanely good at what she does I don't think that people understand how difficult the things she does are. Just like Dimash, it seems so effortless, it leaves me speechless. Thank you for making my insomnia more barable with your amazing commentary on your reactions as well as teaching me some new words here and there. So much love from Sweden!

Traditional New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, funerals include a parade through the French Quarter accompanied by a band that is largely horns and people singing the dirge, or lament to the dead. The New Orleans dirge is typically jazzy, bluesy and in a minor key, as one would expect for a hymn of grief.

Another great rendition of this song is Pomplamoose's mashup of Seven Nation Army and Sweet Dreams. They had that magic moment you were talking about and they kept it in the video. Haley always delivers and PMJ is always good.

Aside from Postmodern Jukebox, Haley has some rock and blues videos. Scott Bradley works with dozens of singers and musicians. The one thing is they are ALL superb at their craft. So you will see them repeat, but rarely the same mix.

I would agree that postmodern jukebox at its peak makes you think you just heard the original instead of the cover. They change up the vintage style for the rotating vocalists they feature. It can be anything from 1960s Supremes back to Charleston styles.

If you want to see her do some classic rock, try her American Idol performance of House Of The Rising Sun. I listen to that often. She and Casey Abrams (who was on the same season of Idol) have some nice collaborations. Hit The Road Jack, Time Of The Season and Baby It's Cold Outside are a few examples. :-) They both also perform on the PMJ version of All About That Bass. He does a nice trick with the upright bass.

Greatest compliment I can give is an artist is they make me feel. Haley dang sure does that!! "Black Hole Sun" The drummer not being seen almost became a running gag in these. Her original "I Don't Know How to Love You" is a bluesy 60's style rock song where she does wail on it, it is my favorite song of hers.

A variety of different artists make up PMJ with the only constant that I'm aware of being the pianist/founder Scott Bradlee. Some of the musicians may be the same too, but the singers definitely change. Almost none of the video singers tour with them, but they have an extraordinarily talented backup team.

I believe PMJ always has Scott Bradley on the piano but many of the musicians come change, especially the singers. Also I think their touring company is possibly a different set of musicians. ❤

LOVE that you have discovered PMJ. I have seen them live several times with Haley and every show is fantastic! PMJ has many great singers like Morgan James and Allison Young just to mention a few but IMO none can compare with the SLAYER, her vocal range, stage presence, and tone and timbre are truly NEXT LEVEL. She's in a league by herself and sets the bar.

Haley did some great stuff on American Idol, including the first ever Led Zeppelin cover allowed on AI, "Its been a long time....." She did an amazing version of Janus Joplin, House Of The Rising Sun, and even her breakout week of "Bennie and the Jets" by Elton John. Her one album with Jimmy Ivine was 50s diner vibe that I personally really liked.

She was on AGT but stinky Jlo was jealous of her..Steven Tyler front man of Aerosmith loved her and let her sing in his Concert.
