When we say may peace and blessings be upon prophet Muhammed he hears it on Friday. Also prophet Muhammed died in sabeel Allah and whoever died like this is alive as Allah said. So prophet Muhammed did die first and he's in the barzakh. And if someone says he never died, then he's not agreeing with the Quran , surat Az zumar, Ayah 30. إنك ميت وإنهم ميتون.

Allaah says in the Holy Qur.aan (meaning of which): {And we granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad), then if you die would they live forever? Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good. The Word of Allaah states (meaning of which): {And with Him (Allaah) are the keys of the Ghayb (all that is hidden), none knows them but He}, [Soorah al-An'am, Aayah 59] {Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghayb (Unseen) except Allaah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected}, [Soorah an-Naml, Aayah 65] {Say (O Muhammad): I have no power over benefit or hurt myself except Allaah wills. Say: "Are the blind and the one who sees equal? will you not then take thought?}, [Soorah al-An'aam Aayah 50] {This is a part of the news of the Ghayb (unseen, i.e. the news of the past nations of which you have no knowledge) which We inspire you with (O Muhammad). You were not with them, when they cast lots with their pens as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam (Mary); nor were you with them when they disputed}, [Soorah Aal 'Imraan Aayah 44] {And I (Muhammad) do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allaah, "Nor that I know the Ghayb (unseen); "nor do I say I am an angel, and I do not say of those whom your eyes look down upon that Allaah will not bestow any good on them. Allaah knows what is in their inner-selves (as regards belief, etc.). In that case, I should, indeed be one of the Zaalimoon (wrong-doers, oppressors, etc.)}, [Soorah Hood, Aayah 31] {This is of the news of the unseen which We reveal unto you (O Muhammad), neither you nor your people knew them before this. So be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for the Muttaqoon}, [Soorah Hood, Aayah 49] {This is of the news of the Ghayb (unseen) which We reveal by Inspiration to you (O Muhammad). You were not (present) with them when they arranged their plan together, and (also, while) they were plotting}, [Soorah Yoosuf, Aayah 102] {And they say: "How is it that not a sign is sent down on him from his Lord?" Say: "The unseen belongs to Allaah Alone, so wait you, verily I am with you among those who wait (for Allaah's Judgement)}, [Soorah Yoonus, Aayah 20] {Say: "None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghayb (unseen) except Allaah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected}, [Soorah an-Naml, Aayah 65] Anyone holding any belief contrary to the above points then he is on total misguidance and to hold on to such beliefs actually constitutes Kufr and Shirk as it negates one of the foundations of Tawheed! Yes, the Messenger (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) was given knowledge of the Unseen, in certain incidents, but it did not originate with him, it came from Allaah, who gave him this knowledge in certain situations and incidents as a miracle and as a sign of his truthfulness as a Messenger from Allaah. {(He Alone) the All-Knower of the Ghayb (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb (unseen)." Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and behind him}, [Soorah Jinn, Aayah 26-27] But whoever claims that the Prophets and Messengers have independent knowledge of the Unseen, then he is upon Kufr, and refuge is sought in Allaah. But the Innovators, like the figureheads of Jamaa'at-ut-Tableegh who allow this falsehood to be taught and to remain, do not understand, or merely pretend not to understand the likes of these affairs, which are as clear as daylight in the Noble Book of Allaah.

When the Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away in Madinah, Omar ibnul Khattab (ra) gave warning that he will cut off those who were saying that the Messenger (saw) is dead, because he said that he just went off like Musa (as) when off and returned. Abu Bakr (ra) admonished him and said; "Those who worshiped Muhammad, Muhammad is dead, and those who worships Allah, Allah is alive and will never die." Then he recited an ayah in the Qur'an as if it was the first time that Omar (ra) heard; "Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful." [Al 'Imran 3:144]

No dont blame Bilal as he is a revert and has not yet achieved sufficient knowledge -he will learn one day that the Prophet SAW is alive to "momeena wal mominaat" and not to ordinary muslims . The Prophet SAW comes in dreams and visits some lucky ones in waking state and Guides for the future....

Allah is all knowing, all hearing, all seeing and all wise. The door of Allah’s Arsh, infinite in size, is open to anyone at any time. To ask him your needs are to worship him. He never gets tired of your repeated request. If your intention of making a trip to Madinah is to visit the grave of Muhammad and possibly ask him to intercede to Allah on your behalf you have committed Shirk, a non forgivable sin. Allah (Azza-wa-Jall) has mentioned clearly in his noble book that he is closer to you than the vein in you neck. So, do not be deceived. Put all your love and trust only to Allah (Azza-wa-jall) and NO one else. Gain knowledge in Islam so that the deceivers cannot fool you and destroy your hereafter

Shaykh Yahya Al Nonowy said the Prophet is alive in alam barzakh. Everyone of us will go to alam barzakh when we die and live there. Indeed we move on to this world but we lose all contacts with those we leave behind. So would the Prophet SAW. Because barzakh means there is a wall (barrier) between the dead and the living that they leave behind. The verse where it is mentioned and explained is below: Al Quran Surah Al-Mukminun 23, Ayat 99-100 حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ - 23:99 لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ - 23:100 فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ - 23:101 Translation: [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. This is the Ayat of the AlQuran that the Shaykh should be expounding, instead of a snippet "he worries about you" without reading the entire verse.

one of the biggest sunni scholars from asia dr. tahir ul qadri, in his speech stated very clearly an event that is about to take place in the future, he stated that when dajjal the anti christ will emerge and muslims will be fighting against him, at that time the wahabis/salafis will be taking dajjals side and defending him and his rule, astaghfirullah, may Allah swt make us from among the awliya and their followers and keep the dajjaliyat/wahabiyat far away from us, ameen ya rabbi Mustafa saw.

the prophet saw said at the time of his death "cursed are the mess and Christians. they took the graves of their prophets as a place of worship." that should be a clear fact of that is coming straight from the name nabi.

For shaykh habib al jiffri - surah al shura ayat 6 - 'those who have taken others besides him as their protectors besides him, it is allah who oversees them, you are no guardian over them' AHL AS SUNNAH scholar Mufti afsal hussain elias frm south africa comments that this ayat is explaining that Allah knows/is vigilant over those who take others as their wali and the last bit refers to our propher(SAW) that he is not a guardian over us. i found also in many other ayat of the quran where it is explained that the prophet is human like us and that he is a GUIDE and a messenger for us.

فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ مَوۡلٰٮهُ وَجِبۡرِيۡلُ وَصَالِحُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‌ۚ وَالۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ ظَهِيۡرٌ‏ ﴿۴﴾

"Muhammad is but a messenger; messengers (the like of whom) have passed away before him. If, then, he dies or is killed, will you turn back on your heel?". -Qur'an, surah 3 (Ali-Imran), ayah 144. Abu Bakr is reported to have come out to the Muslim community and gave his famous speech which included: "Whoever worshipped Muhammad, let them know that Muhammad is dead, and whoever worshipped Allah, let them know that Allah is alive and never dies."

Looks like both are right. Bilal was only referring to the state of body death as happening to every human, and as mentioned in Quran about every living thing and especially about Prophet (S.A.W.W). But in the life of Barzakh, all humans are alive. And as the status of Prophet Muhammad (S.a.w.w) is the highest and so as he is in the afterlife...

From the comments, the only reason people want to believe that the Prophet is alive is because they want ask for his intercession. They want to believe that our good deeds are being vetted by Muhammad before these reach Allah. They want to believe that salvation is through Muhammad (just as Christians believe salvation is through Christ).

Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his father, from his grandfather that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If any of you gets a nightmare, let him say: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah against His wrath and His punishment and the’ mischief of His slaves and from the temptations of the devils and that which they bring.

Prophet Muhammed is alive and he hear our salat wa salam and reply back to us. The only difference is he is alive in Barqas like how all martyrs are also alive.

In regard to Shirk here is what Allah states in the Quran: Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed. -- Sura 4:48 Allah forgiveth not (the sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He forgiveth whom He pleaseth other sins than this: one who joins other gods with Allah, Hath strayed far, far away (from the right). -- Sura 4:116

I think the first thing that needs to addressed is that brothers need to establish five times daily prayer. Then they need to stop the shirk ie. grave worship and wearing amulets because that is something Allah SAW will never forgive. Then they need to stop this affiliation to groups and then check out Islamqa for clarification on topics from great scholars.

BOOKS FOR GUIDANCE-QURAN AND HADEES ONLY--Maalik Ibn Anas RadhiAllaahu Anhu narrated, “The Prophet Messenger of Allaah Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam said, “I am leaving behind 2 things amongst you, as long as you adhere to these two things you will never be misguided, they are the book of Allaah (ie the Quraan) and the Sunnah of the Messenger Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam) Muwatta Of Imaam Maalik) These 2 things are pivotal and act as a criteria for every aspect in Islaam. So People who attempt to guide and lecture the Muslims WITHOUT REFERNCE to the Quraan and Hadeeth are in essence not instructing us in Islaam. Sticking and understanding the Sunnah has great importance in our guidance to the straight path.
