Ranger DPS Starter Build (1 million AD limit) Best Powers + What to Get!? - Neverwinter Mod 27

This build is intended for new and returning players who have literally just finished leveling up to 20 and have nothing but 1 million Astral Diamonds.
This build/guide will help you get started on the right foot building up your Ranger. Here I cover what powers you should be using and when to perform well in dealing damage and I also give my suggestions on what you should initially buy to boost your damage a decent amount, building up those stats! I also give suggestions on your path forward, what gear upgrades to get when you have time and more resources!
With this setup you should easily be able to carry your weight in all random queues and even in Dragon Hunts to get your Mythic gear!

I've only played rogue since I came back to NW, my alt is a Ranger. For Christmas, one of the gifts my wife got me was 1.25 mil AD so this ties in well. Still enjoying the Whisperknife but Cryptic loves your videos so hopefully they don't mind this upload.

What I don't get with Ranger is, how come when I hold down the at will attack I can still use my Mount or Artifact powers with others but with the Ranger I have to let go of At will attack to use these...

Top tips 👍 Few things for my view. I'm not sure if buying the Toad Is worthwhile. I play a ranger that can stay alive and not rely on others. I only die in end content, I've solo'd much of the random queues/content due to a wipe. I am 1st or 2nd in the majority of leader boards but last on the deaths ;) I run a few heal sources Potion or Stone Commanding heart encounter Hand or Heal over time thing Artifact heal regen Mount bonus (when hit recieve a heal things) Using the Lillian harp woman bonus via disruptive shot gives upto 1 million heal. Its Amazing for group healing. Think the Vallenas thing gives you health as well. The raining arrows is excellent for AE. Will snare a few and thus give you an oppertunity to damage or pick a few others off. My Ranger is 81k ish. I use alot of (group) bonus stuff like the stag and hand. But the thorns encounters/shots is gonna be the most useful AE. Go to Omu harbour area and buy cheap food. Gives you 1600 per stat/ability (I use accuracy). I don't know why, but all the event foods dont give me any bonus, so I run Brew which does give me the speed boost at least. I run sun lords as well. Buy some cheap ability potions for your 4th potion. I use crit strike 1600s I think (as everything is maxed). Well rested gives you +1 to all your stats, so I use that to manipulate them. I.E put them on odd numbers, so you get a few bonus for being well rested. Buy cheap enchantment potions like fire and ice that give you a free 800 stat bonus, they are very cheap in AH. Im cheap, so I look for bonus to cover every ability:) Edit: Added the Lillian harp womam bonus

Toad has minion consume and 3k magnitude. Its one of the best singlw target mounts. Can make some content way easier with the consume.

check your keybinds page. It has all the data, and you can rebind your powers to whatever key you want

Console players have it so much harder when it comes to this power load out. I just retained everything and have been getting used to it and it's pretty challenging. Made the mistake of trying to do Ravenloft reaper before getting proficient and I was not proud lol. Still getting used to it really.

What is bugged with cordon of arrows? If someone knows would you mind informing me please. Also super jealous of binding stance swapping. I swear I burn through a controller every 2 months from swapping

cordon cannot critically hit at the moment. So it misses a lot of damage

You always forget about skillnodes ... 🤔 The loot might depend on RNG but it always useful somehow for new players. Loot can be insignia or items to sell for gold or gemstones to convert into refinement points and all of th skillnodes contains some kind of potion.

so you only do single target 100% of the time??? using you the LOW dps Encounter and dailys for any AoE??? interesting when you coming out with a WARDEN BUILD here ill do it for you from memory.... clear the ground/eshot ... rapid shot/strike Hindeirng Constricting/steel breeze Binding/ Oakskin Forest Ghost Snipe rotation is an Encounter every 4 seconds filled with AtWill CtG/Eshot for aoe or Rapid for Single hit your dailies as desired

this setup beats warden, your melee powers are aoe, plus one of your at-wills
