I have just finished reading LOTR and Arwen's story is more tragic than I thought. She was only wedded to Aragorn for 60 years before he passed. 1 year for an elf is 144 of our years. So, Arwen was only wedded to Aragorn for about 6 months before her true happiness and bliss came to an end. It was heartbreaking reading the part where she was next to Aragorn on his death bed and begged him not to leave her as she finally realized the bitterness of mortality. At least they are now together forever beyond the circles of the world.
