An excellent video and straight to the point. I must say that I was surprised that the recovery point is partly mounted onto that thin rail under the radiator. That part of the chassis does not look so strong to me, but then again, ARB would have tested it I guess. Thanks for the video.

That 5th bolt, the recovey bar i brought does not have a hole to support it. Is it necessary?

It's a superior engineering one. And there is nothing for it to bolt to. Seems wierd not to have something to bolt it to.

@davidcowan1583
@davidcowan1583 3 жыл бұрын
You can run two if you want but it completely unnecessary and you would have to modify your bash plates with another cut out. The point is rated to 8T and is also rated to that at angles of up to 30 degrees i believe. You definitely dont need two. Hope that helps mate.

Hey mate I don't have the car at the moment but I did a check for the bolt and it is 90119-t0194 from Toyota. If you look this code up and then head to Toyota or a bolt shop they will be able to tell you what it is.

@@davidcowan1583 and those 5 bolts will be strong enough I take it. I'm assuming I can't just reuse the one from the radiator support

@@danilodelemos9624 you will need to check if those bolts are high tensile bolts or standard bolts they must he high tensile otherwise they will break in an extreme situation.

Breaks my mind why you want to do that, there are 4 massive welded on factory recovery points, I fail to see why you need a 5th bolt on one. this is going to create more problems than solutions i.m.o
