Corrections:
The Alesis Strike Multipad DOES have Threshold settings, they just aren't on the trigger settings page. You can change Threshold and Sensitivity by hitting the Pad button and then striking the pad.

Thanks for the heads up! I have no idea why Alesis would move that trigger setting over to that pad menu. At least duplicate the setting and also put it in the trigger menu too, weird!

@@65Drums it makes dialing things in a bit of a pain, but I've been able to get Roland Snare and Kick triggers and a BT1 working with it. Happy to help the community! Keep up what you are doing!

I love the slow down part with visible FPS count and the technical stuff about rubber talked over it all that sounding in depth with conclusion that the slown down video shows literally nothing and that Justin saying he has no idea (and we all too) if thats good or bad. That is comedic gold

In the beginning you said "the ones made in China". Here me out people. I love saving money and I realize times are tough. But Justin is 100% correct. Let's try to buy American made products. And thank you for bringing up that this is made in the US.

I just got this from DCP last week (Last one in stk 😁). I have the Roland BT-1's (And some old Pintech (dingbats ?). I left a comment on their YT channel questioning why this was almost 100% mark up over Roland. Well let me tell ya, for me its a game changer. Especially playing stuff like New Orders "Blue Monday" (I run kick-drums). As you said, way easier than using multi-pads or triggering a drum machine. If you can afford it, buy it. Still prefer the Rolands on my Tom's. Yeah its a Groovy Trigger (Pun intended)😛. Thanks Russ Miller !

Pretty cool device! I agree you would think it would be priced just a little lower, to not put it far past the other options. I suppose if you want a metal housing and higher quality this is a good option, but it's odd the cable can't easily be replaced.

The mount mechanism is the same as the Gruv-X blocks for those familiar with that product. The Gruv-X is an excellent addition for cross stick, but this seems a bit out there to me, mostly due to the price and the reported issues setting it up. While the BT-1 is made of plastic, it is very solid. This definitely looks slicker, but it seems to need another revision and a price drop.

Hey Justin love your content, quick question though, will any of these models that you've shown on this video work with an analog mixer that has built in sounds along with it and as long as you plug these rim shot triggers in one of the channels and program them in your analog mixer, thanks?🤘🙏

It’s probably worth pointing out here that with this, or any other cheap trigger bar, if the drum it’s mounted on is triggering the bar with crosstalk, the bar is only using piezo to sense a hit. The Roland BT-1 (for half the price) uses piezo/switch, much like a cymbal. It’s nearly impossible to get crosstalk on a BT-1 because the switch has to be closed as well as the piezo sensing a vibration for it to send anything to the module. That’s why a BT-1 requires a TRS cable rather than just TS, despite being a single zone pad (and therefore, also should not be split). Of course, that’s not to say the BT-1 can’t cause crosstalk somewhere else due to its own vibrations, but it’s rarely the victim of it. It may look the same, but the internal tech is not.

Its crazy how much profit has to be pushed in to an instrument. Its not sustainable.More people can no longer afford to buy new gear. Its being priced out of our reach.
@robotman5105
@robotman5105 3 ай бұрын
Well, people can afford to buy a thing like this, there’s much better priced options for what’s essentially the same trigger and good value for dollar. So it’s no issue with people not being able to get anything that’s new, this product is just overpriced and they’re gonna eat it. E drums have frequently been getting better budget options so that’s nothing to be concerned about.
@DerekScheel

@@robotman5105regardless of if there’s budget options the statement still rings true. Everything that comes out is completely out of price for most average people. At this point either people are maxing out credit cards on stuff or companies aren’t selling that many of a lot of products 🤷🏽‍♂️

Good ole Acrolite, My Fav snare. I put in a ludwig P86 strainer on mine and man its soooo nice. That arc pro trigger looks very nice, my BT1 output jack is loose but im afraid to try to take it apart to try and tighten it up. If anyone has some insight on that hit me up.

On an e-kit, what's wrong with simply using one of the existing drum rims for any sound you would assign to these side triggers?
